Wow, this team sucks. Riley cost us the game, the defense can't come up with a crucial stop and they let a 40 year old QB race for a first down, and McNabb underthrew a sure touchdown pass earlier. Just a comedy of errors all the way around.

Anyone blaming this game on the refs is an idiot. When you blame the referees for a loss... you are a loser.

can not believe how badly the redskins are getting raped up the ass by the officials in this game. they literally handed the vikings the game by calling essentially a 90 yard, 7 point penalty on the yard kick return TD on a completely BS "illegal block" call. and there's no way to challenge it. this is no longer the NFL; i shall call it the WFE, "World Football Entertainment".

Whatever... that was ALL on Riley... clear block in the back... and TOTALLY unnecessary...die cowboys die wrote:can not believe how badly the redskins are getting raped up the ass by the officials in this game. they literally handed the vikings the game by calling essentially a 90 yard, 7 point penalty on the yard kick return TD on a completely BS "illegal block" call. and there's no way to challenge it. this is no longer the NFL; i shall call it the WFE, "World Football Entertainment".

Doesn't matter, this team outright sucks. They are pathetic and horrible. They lost to a team that has officially imploded with a QB who at least throws 2 INT's a game and is 41 yrs. old. Oh did I forget to mention, the Vikes were without their star running back majority of the game. Refs or no refs, the Skins lost this game not the refs. The Redskins is just a pathetic horrible football team which does not deserve to play on the same field as other NFL teams.

Hopefully blackouts too. Wouldn't mind seeing FedEx Empty.
I guess we should end up with a decent draft pick, not that it matters for a 3rd tier franchise.

I think you're exaggerating how clear that penalty was. Watch some more football. That kind of block, although I agree it was unnecessary, happens almost every play. It's like how you can call holding almost every play, they call it usually when it has an impact.
I don't blame the refs for that, but I do blame them for being inconsistent. If you're going to call something like that, how about the miss on the facemask with Banks on a return or the blatent hold on Westbrook on another return.
We clearly had an advantage in Special Teams and the calls and lack of calls hurt us in one of the areas we were dominating. Yeah, we could have played better, but we're not a very good team. But we played well enough to win the game despite all of our shortcomings.

Keep your head up, the silver lining, the blessing in disguise is that the Vikes may have helped the Skins get a better draft pick. Go GIANTS!!!!!

yes; those who are saying that was a clear illegal block don't know the rules, or at least how the rules are called. you have to come in directly from behind for it to be illegal, essentially. if the guy turns his body at the last second so that your contact happens to hit him in the back, it's not supposed to be penalized, because if it was, everybody would just simply spin their body around to make the guy about to block him end up h itting him in the back. there would be multiple instances of that "penalty" on every single play. that's why the rule doesn't work that way.
and that is not to mention the outrageous lack of equality in how the teams were penalized, which has been an extremely disturbing trend in almost every game we've played this season. i counted no less than 12 extremely obvious/flagrant holds by the vikings on offense, some of which involved the guy sustaining the hold for 3 or 4 seconds or more!!! and yet i don't believe they were flagged for holding once. it's beyond ludicrous, and yet nobody cares, nobody says anything about it or makes any effort fo fix the problem.
this is why, as i said, it is no longer the NFL to me. it's no better than the WWE at this point.

One thing to note, the most penalized offense in the league gets its first penalty in the 4th quarter? That's a heck of a one week turnaround.
