Please leave moderating to the moderators, thanks. This isn't directed at jazzskins - it's for everybody...
Political posts don't BELONG in Smack... they belong in the lounge. If the conversation escalates to the point of bickering, then fine, people can take it to smack; otherwise, the posts belong where they're going.
The problem isn't where the posts go, it's the posters' inability to dicuss a post rather than the poster themself.
Smack belongs in smack. Political dialogue doesn't have to be smack, and just because a handful of people don't seem to be able to follow rules, is no reason to change those rules... not in our opinion. It really just means that we'll have to moderate the 'culprits' more emphatically. Which is exactly what my post alluded to.
And it isn't 'the same person' starting the inflammatory posts, there are multiple people guilty of the exact same transgressions. My post was a warning to all of them, and I'm sure they know exactly who they are. As i said, just because a person felt someone broke the rules, doesn't entitle that person to do so as well.
As posters, you have absolutely no idea what measures have been taken by the staff previously - private messages, who's been warned for what before, how frequent an offender they are - please don't pretend to know the administrative things you would have to be privy to, to make that judgement.
When we want some help moderating, we'll ask. Otherwise, all posters need to concern themselves with is
themselves.
Thanks.
