yeah, my post just got moved here... sorry for the question... my wife even said that has to be doctored and i think the greatest proof that NFL fils got duped by whomever they got it from is that no one else has even mentioned this... CBS, ABC, not even on ESPN.com do they mention this.

I think it's fake and added to the video, kinda of a photo shop bit.....Nothing even close to this was shown on the regular TV coverage....I don't buy it.....maybe i'm just a homer, but it seems way too fishy...........
This has turned into the Zapruder film, and the "Magic Lugie Theory"....all we need is Oliver Stone to do a film about how Sean Taylor's head went "back and to the left" proving that the lugie couldn't have possibly come from Taylor's mouth.
Maybe Romanowski was hiding in the "Grassy Knoll" and actually blew a spit rocket and hit Pittman.

well last night on either NFL network or HBO they had pittman mic'ed up... which is strange seeing that it took this long to get out. Plus they had footage of the ref ejecting Taylor from the game for spitting which never happened during the game. I remember several minutes went by and the guys in the booth didn't even know why taylor was being removed from the field... Also I seem to remember when the ref made the call originally you could see players in the background in this new footage all you can see is the ref standing alone on the field ejecting taylor from the game... Something fishy is definately going on. Maybe the NFL trying to cover up for a bad call? I am going to watch it again today.

I 100% guarantee nothing fishy is going on here.

NFL films has access to a variety of camera angles and mics that we don't see or hear during a typical broadcast

Then explain where this footage was in the post game... sunday... heck even monday... its was wendsday before this new footage was released. Whats even more questionable is the fact that Taylor stood on the sidelines for a few minutes afterwards. Any other time a player is immediately escorted off the field. Explain how the booth and our coaching staff didn't know what was going on if the anouncment was made all at once. In the booth they clearly stated they didn't understand why the flag was thrown on Taylor even after the ref made his annoucement. How would that be possible if he said that Taylor was eject for spitting and there would be no charge for the retaliation. it was a few plays later that the booth said they got a report from downstairs that taylor was ejected for spitting.

They also have access to adjust add to and take away from any footage that have. If they can have two classic teams that never played each other play each other on film what makes you think that they can cover thier backsides on a bad call by adding a little extra footage?
If this is truly what happened where was this explination on monday when they talk to the head referee guy about the calls made over the weekend?

Because people screwed up. The sideline reporting was terrible in that game. You can clearly hear the ref on the NFL Films footage because they had him mic'd for "Sounds of the Game" on NFL Network. The footage is different because it was taken by NFL Films, not by Fox. It wasn't out right away because they shoot film and not video, and the footage was exclusive to the show on NFL Network.

Well, you've put me in a tough spot by asking me to prove they didn't alter the tape but it seems unlikely. First, with crowd noise (the crowd reacted to the flag) it's often difficult to hear any announcements, NFL films can iso on that mic and make it seem as clear as day. As for the announcers' collective confusion, that is hardly unusual.

Ok one other point after watching the film again. The ref CLEARLY SAID over the loud speaker "spitting in the face of the opponent" (you can hear the echo) the he goes over to futher explain himself to our defense and he had to tell them that he spit in pittmans face which is odd considering how loud the speakers in a stadium are and the fact that our D knew that pittman wasn't getting penalized at all.

Look, I agree that the situation was handled badly, I think the penalties should have been off-setting and I think the ref reacted to the sight of spit rather than the fact that someone was actually spit on. That being said, Taylor needs to keep his mouth shut in a playoff game, plain and simple.

There was no conspiracy guys...we sound crazy thinking this. NFL Films has their own crew and camera angles that networks don't have. That doesn't mean it is a conspiracy.

I was at the game and you couldn't here anything after the ref pointed toward the Skins...it was a third down play so it kept the TB drive going so the crowd erupted. As for the taped being doctored... your kidding right?? The ref clearly saw it and if nothing else the look on Taylor's face said it all. One look at his face tells you how you mom always knew when you lying!! The stupid thing is Taylor and Pittman had nothing to do with the play..we had them stopped ST should have gone to the sidelines end of story!

Sorry guys part of my job as a paralegal is to disect evidence and mold it in favor of my clients. I read testimonies all the time looking for where things don't connect. I did kind of get carried away with the conspiracy talk but I still say that I don't think everything adds up, and if their was a cover up don't you think they would want us to think that everything is normal...
With that said though this week Taylor needs to lay off any smack talk because anything he does will be looked at under a microscope, and if we win we will need him in the weeks to come and I doubt they will let him go next time with just a fine.

I admit it. I did it, not Sean. I was standing on the grassy knoll in the end zone.

Haha...It was clear that the loogie came from the knoll in the endzone on the Zapruder film. "Back and to the left...Back and to the left."

That's right! The league has a grand conspiracy to alter film and make all sorts of adjustments so that they can fine Sean Taylor 17,000 dollars!!!
Sheesh. Carey is a serious professional at refereeing. If he said Taylor spit, he spit.
I certainly would trust his word over the word of Sean "Mr. ATV" Taylor, though I'm a big fan of Taylors (play on the field).

I knew it. I knew it. BH is out of control. He also blocked ST's calls to Joe in the offseason, jokingly swapped ST's agents in the middle of negotiations and brandished the handgun while Seannie was having a peaceful discussion with his brethren about his quads.
Is there no end to this man's madness ?

Did you forget he was the one driving when they left 50/50's birthday party, then jumped out the vehicle when he saw the cops

Did BH also take him away from the rookie symposium?

I would be willing to buy on eBay the piece of turf that ST's loogie fell upon....someone should look into getting that, what a great piece of Redskins History...The story of the infamous spit will live on 30 years from now when 1 of Marcus Vick's 20 illegitimate children is the Skins QB

After watching Game of the Week I've concluded two things...
One ST doesn't know how to spit
Two Carey is a great Ref!!
