Unless I'm mistaken, Jason Campbell was inactive and could not be put in the game. Regardless, Ramsey was the guy to put in there. The Redskins look like they are going to be in the playoff hunt, so if Brunell goes down Ramsey is going to be the guy taking the snaps...
He's listed as the 3rd QB and dressed. He's allowed to go in. Inactives don't suit up.

NFL.com's GameBook listed him as "Not Active":
http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/gamebook/ ... 023_SF@WAS
EDIT: Although I seem to remember some rule that allows the third inactive quarterback to enter the game in the event on an injury to the first two. I'm really fuzzy on this, and could be completely wrong.

The third QB is technically "inactive" but dresses all the same. He's there as "body bag" insurance in case the first 2 get injured.
But you CAN play him even in a non-injury situation. But once you do, he's in for the duration.

Ouch! "Body-bag"...brings back a memory of Brian Mitchell playing QB against the Eagles...
Didn't we declare that phrase usable only in "smack"

along with all mention of the 73 - 0 NFL championship game?

Joe had the decency NOT to run up the score against the 49ers.
While this victory must be seen under its proper dimension, it makes things VERY interesting in the NFC East:
Team _______W L T _PCT _PF PA Home Road AFC NFC DIV Streak
N. Y. Giants __ 4 2 0 0.667 173 137 3-0 1-2 1-1 3-1 0-1 Won 1
Philadelphia __ 4 2 0 0.667 142 118 3-0 1-2 3-0 1-2 0-1 Won 1
Washington __ 4 2 0 0.667 135 103 3-0 1-2 0-2 4-0 1-0 Won 1
Dallas _______ 4 3 0 0.571 147 124 2-1 2-2 1-1 3-2 2-1 Lost 1
I had never seen the NFC East so evenly matched before in my life.

He also put in our backups late in the game.
Those 49ers 1st stringers were kicking the crap out of our 5th stringers.

Had to chime in. Back now in SC, but I was there at Fed Ex on sunday. What a beautiful day for football and to see the Skins win. Lots of high fives were going around in our section. It was truly a dominating performance. Lets just hope that we can keep it roling with a tough stretch in our schedule coming up.
