It must have killed you to see backyard Kirk score a TD running a gimmick offensive play that only works in high-school.

LOL!
I think Hitman is a Philly or Cowboy fan having some fun trolling here but I love your response.
Oh and hit man it is 2015 Griffin's had more than 2 years to mend and the lateral quickness didn't come back and since he lacks the spatial intelligence to process an NFL offense fast enough he is useless. But be of good cheer maybe there is a media package for out of town arena league games so you be able to follow him.

I'm all in on this new version of Kirk Cousins and he's going to get all the help these guys can give to try and ensure that if there's a really good NFL QB in that body they will find and develop it ...
there's 9 games to go and I'm looking forward to THAT

he's got 2 weeks to prepare for the Patriot's defense, that should be a good test for the 'new' Kirk Cousins to show what he's got

Anybody actually watched any Pats' games this year yet? Is their defense anything special?
I was under the impression they were winning mainly because Brady is destroying everyone.

Yea, their offense is ruling the day. But our defense has more holes than the deer crossing sign at a rifle range.

No doubt man. Think back on those first couple of Tampa drives on Sunday. Looked like we were playing a man down. Brady is going to have a career day if we don't get our s*** together.

Haha. I am no Cowgirls or Philthy fan. I am a Redskin fan and my opinion is that Gruden is stupid and Cousins is an inconsistent backup. It is pretty clear to me that these two are at best mediocre and the longer we stay with them we will never go anywhere. Ive seen the Redskisn waste great careers like Chris Samuels because we think we can win with Gus, Zorn, Shanny, Campbell and the other turds that constantly end up here. Ive seen fans cut people one week then enshrine them the next with each win or loss. And yes- I have always been right about these hires.
Jay "Code Red" Gruden (6-15) and Kirk Cousins (80.5 career rating and a 27-27 pick TD ratio) are crap. One win against the worst team in the NFL starting a rookie QB is a joke. At home. And we had to come back. That doesn't show anything but ineptitude and mediocrity and it shows how bad Gruden really is.
What more? His third quarter ineptitude? His bumbling media pressers? The obvious double treatment between Kirk and RG3? The concussion debacle? Ryan Clark saying Gruden is over his head? Fletcher blasting him too.
Rumor is that Snyder wanted to fire him last year. We can only hope that will happen this year. I think it will happen. RG3 is here and Gruden wants him gone. What does that tell you?
So keep drooling over Captain Pick's mediocrity and Code Red's inability to coach on an NFL level. This is Gus Frerotte and Zorn all over again

The Patriots are great at taking what you give them....wouldn't surprise me one bit to see their running game have a big day?

The best way to beat the Pats is to keep their offense off the field as much as possible. Our running game needs to be extremely effective for us to even have a chance.

Kirk Cousins named NFC offensive player of the weekhttp://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... -the-week/Midway through the second quarter of Sunday’s game in Washington, Kirk Cousins looked like he could be heading toward a benching. Instead, he was heading toward an NFC offensive player of the week award.
Cousins bounced back from a fumble that the Buccaneers returned for a touchdown to take a 24-0 lead and led Washington to a dramatic 31-30 win.
It’s the first player of the week award for Cousins, who completed 33 of 40 passes for 317 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Questions remain about whether Cousins is the long-term answer on a team that has seen coach Jay Gruden flip-flop from Robert Griffin III to Cousins to Colt McCoy, back to RGIII and then to Cousins again. But there’s no question that after Washington dug a big hole on Sunday, Cousins played a great game to dig his team out of it. That should buy him some time as the starter.
Not bad, man. Congrats to KC! Thought this was a great sentence btw: "Midway through the second quarter of Sunday’s game in Washington, Kirk Cousins looked like he could be heading toward a benching. Instead, he was heading toward an NFC offensive player of the week award." So true and kind of crazy what a fine line some of these guys are walking.

Yea you're so right, even in his Monday presser, Gruden said (when ask what would have happened if he'd had lost) he didn't think he'd be here.

Big congrats to Kirk Cousins - now we need to see this happen each week to prove he's a capable NFL QB
big challenge in NE but they have a bye week, so, no excuse to not be ready

The Jets gave them all they could handle last week, the Pats came from behind to win on the final drive I believe. That says a lot about the Jets I guess.

against the Jets, the Pats had no running back - Brady was the leading rusher for 15 yards - Brady went 34 of 54
they have a decent defense ... but then again, they always do - their offense is amazing
it's going to be a challenge but that's what each and every game is all about - we'll see how things go
the Pats play on Thursday so they'll have 10 days to get ready - we should be good to go as we'll have had 14 days to get ready

Yeah I'm bummed about that. We don't even get the full bye week advantage against them! hah.
Would be great if we got Culliver and maybe D. Hall back after the bye yeah?

Did he really say that? Was he talking about himself or Cousins? If he meant himself, then he really might be on the hot seat as much as some have suggested. I didn't think Scot would ever make a decision like that (or even "allow" Snyder to) mid-season. What I mean by "allow" is that he'd strongly council him against bringing such turmoil to the team when we're only one game back in the division, and have so many injuries.

Here's what he said...
"Whew. I try not to think about that one," Gruden said at Redskins Park on Monday. "I probably wouldn't be standing up here today."
I heard it on the radio so I don’t know how it was received? It sounded tongue in cheek on the radio but I was still surprised he said it.

Yeah that's the way I heard the radio guys describe it. Think it was Jason Reid and Kevin Sheehan. This is how John Keim wrote about it too:
"I probably wouldn't be standing up here today. I might have done something crazy," Gruden said, jokingly.
http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-reds ... here-todayAnd this one:
Jay Gruden plays along with his job-security narrative following Redskins’ historic comeback victoryhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/news/foo ... k-victory/Redskins Coach Jay Gruden played along with the talking-head narrative about his job security Monday after it took the biggest comeback in franchise history, 24 points, to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-30, Sunday at FedEx Field.
But Gruden was asked on how he would’ve felt the morning after the game if Washington didn’t pull off the miraculous victory.
“I try not to think about that; I probably wouldn’t be standing up here today,” Gruden joked.
A bit of gallows humor either way though, yeah?

Schefter was on 980 with Sheehan and Loverro, and he said that Cousins is getting the full season as the starter. He even said they would have stuck with him even if they lost to the Bucs. They questioned him about a possible Griffin trade, and he said that not one single solitary team has brought up his name since the start of OTA's.

I think it's safe to assume that no one wants to inherit the option year we picked up. I see that as the main reason there is no interest in RGIII. If he were a FA, someone would give him a shot, even if only as a backup.
