I didn't notice him not getting 73. Since you mentioned that, I wasn't going to mention this but, I watched the clip of Golic and he didn't touch the lines, he came within a foot or two of them each time. Sounds cheap but that adds seconds. I was sure to touch it each time with my foot. If you do it right, no cheating see how easy it is. My son reminded me, Albert and Golic both had cleats on, I used running shoes and did slip a few times when I was turning.

That's a good point, especially since the trainers are sticklers... according to some players (I can't find the link at the moment), you MUST touch the line, or you have to go back to do so. They won't count your time if you don't touch the line. That short-cuts no doubt took a few seconds off his time.

I'm sure it's brutal... I can remember running progressive shuttles (not fondly) in high school, and in the Army... at OCS... the TAC's thought it was a wonderful way to entertain themselves... I can understand why Haynesworth's knees would protest...

That'll be the next development to this long and sad story. Haynesworth will develop a phantom knee or back injury and sit for half the season. I know it's coming.

There have been some (including myself) have turned on Shanahan. What happened??!? McNabb and this new D that is intercepting 9 passes a day at practice, is on the back burner. Look at the amount of posts compared to anything else. Its clogging Sports Talk Radio/CSN and its the only thing that is reported about the Redskins on ESPN.

This is my lobby to shut down this post and to put Albert back in the box. He is the only negative vibe about this camp. Sure you might have doubts about the WR's or our OL depth but thats just speculation its not necessarily negative. NO MORE OF "WHO-CAN-DO-WHAT" CRAP!?! OR IF SHANAHAN IS ABUSING AL OR IF AL IS TRYING TO GET OUT OF TOWN!! WHO CARES!!??......(sigh)

I posted 2 long arguments on the topic last weekend. Now, I am exhausted from it. Join me Skins fans and realize Albert hasnt done enough for the Redskins for us to turn on one another!! I feel like weve all been slimed by the stuff in Ghostbusters 2. (And not the positive stuff that made the toaster dance! The crappy negative stuff that made them all turn against each other!)

Ditto. I don't think anybody REALLY cares to much about this crap anyway, it will blow over soon one way or the other.

Who's turned against Shanahan? Even I have said I support the idea of what Shanahan's doing. I just don't like the actual way he's going about it. But that's obviously my own opinion and a rare one. And I'm done defending my minority opinion.

And Albert has caused 100x more drama here than what's shown in the locker room and on the field. I saw a few fiery comments at the peak of this, but all in all, the guys have said they want him on the field and they're gonna concentrate on who IS on the field.

You know why I'm ticked off, because we almost had a perfect offseason with our new team and this guy makes drama tv. Ridiculous... has he been booed yet by fans or is everyone waiting until fan appreciation day?

I want him to be a fantastic defensive lineman for this season and then I want to get as much for him as we gave up IF not more

I think we'll be a lot better off as both a defense and all round team without this selfish fat ass

I'm with you on this, Vet. But I also agree right now, it's just something to talk about.

We've not had a whole lot to talk about the past year or so. Especially after the strike year of 2009 where the Redskins didn't even suit up to play.

I'm with you on this, Vet. But I also agree right now, it's just something to talk about.

I understand that Haynesworth is still getting his ass in shape and is not able to take the test again today (Tuesday)

I am cogniscant of an issue with his knee and do not want him to rush back just to make a point ... STILL, this is very disapointing

I think that he'll determine how he is treated by the other players based on how much of an effort he makes when he finally gets on the field, albeit with the lower ranked players


I just hope he shows the form we need and impresses everyone with his effort and play this camp and this year so we get a lot for him - there is no way this POS is here for long if anyone makes a decent offer for him

If his knee can't handle sprints, how will it be able to handle contact?

Yeah, but his numb skull radio partner was calling out a time three seconds off the pace and Golic was pacing to it. He could have made the 73 seconds if he knew the correct pace.

So, yes he technically failed the second run and I question if he was getting all the way back at each turn (he looked a foot or two short on each near side turn around), but I have no doubt if he went to Ashburn and ran it with a competent stopwatch operator, he would pass what Big Al has failed.

And as you pointed out, he's 47 and hasn't been a professional athlete for 16 years (and was never close to Mount St. Hayneswort's talent level)

Doesn't Fat Alby have to touch the line everytime he turns? If thats the case Golic wouldn't have made it either. Golic was definately coming up short each time he turned, and I don't think he made the first one in under 70 either. Of course this doesn't really take away from the fact that a payed NFL athlete should be able to pass this test with ease.
