But we only have one pick in the first round so with that pick, you've got to pick the top lineman or you try to trade down and get additional picks. I wouldn't use a single pick on a QB at all. There will be enough floating around to bring in.

Campbell is gone. Get it? We need a QB.

Teams build lines around QBs ... they don't build teams around a single lineman.

As mush as Vinny sucks, I'm glad you're not the GM

- I know. He's in the last year of his contract.
- New HC isn't going to want a QB who's been through 4 diff. offenses in only a few years.

Please feel free to let me know a team that had as bad of a line as we do and then they were successful with a rookie qb the following year.

Don't go and quit your day job. I don't claim to know everything about football but even I know enough that any QB is going to need a line around him and you can't use an early 1st round pick on a QB who will only be a very expensive punching bag.

A rookie qb can sit for a year or two, you know? Nobody is saying that he has to start right away. The bottom line though is that if this has the potential to be a very good qb draft and a rather poor oline draft, particularly at the top of the draft. You don't reach for an offensive lineman over taking a qb.

So if JC isn't the guy and is gone, we don't play a 1st round rook, who fills in? And please, please don't say StoneFeet Collins. Behind our line, he'd get crushed, just like that safety.

There is a little part of me who would like to see what Chris Simms has - bring him in, etc. Don't give a contract - but see what he's got. I think there are a few other guys will be out there who we can get very cheap who can come in and run the offense until the line gets up to speed.

Come on Frank, first off Atlanta did it 2 years ago.

And yes you are correct in that a QB needs a decent OL. But, they don't need 5 all pros lined up in front of them. AND, you have to understand that this upcoming draft is going to be one of the best when it comes to QBs. This upcoming draft is going to be one of the worst for OLs. This is the year to pick up a QB. And no one said that we need to draft a kid and then put him right out there. Some QBs develop that way; others don't. This is not a one year project. If a QB is available this year that won't be available next, we have to take him. There will be OL next year that are better than the ones in this upcoming draft.

You can sit here and say OL, OL, OL, in hopes that JC comes back; but he isn't. He is one of the worst 5 starting QBs in the league right now. This isn't even debatable at this point. There is no point in bringing him back. He was just replaced by Collins in a game.....

To even consider this you I would wonder what kind of fan you were to begin with.

A great fan. Always have.

You can't possibly be if you would jump to a division rival. The Eagle fans wouldnt want you either if they knew how you can become a turncoat during the hard times.
Actually, the entire city of Philly are turncoats during hard times. So maybe he'd fit right in?

Why are we still responding to this BS? If someone wants to jump ship, then jump....but don't come back!!!
