I don't understand people like you. Oh if we get rid of him or that guy then I'm done as a fan. Why don't you just find another team.

Oh and I agree I don't understand people like you. Find a new team

Me? Find a new team? LOL. What a joke. I'm not the one talking about bailing on my team

Seriously, no one but JLC has pointed to a bit of evidence that isn't JLC's hearsay article.

What are you talking about? The DC Examiner, the Denver Post, Chris Mortenson, etc. have all reported this. The Denver Post had a story linking Cutler to the Skins before JLC ever posted a story about this.

Cutler expects to be a Redskin....

CBS4 Broncos Insider Gary Miller has learned disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler is expecting to be traded as soon as today. Sources tell Gary that Cutler believes he'll soon be a Washington Redskin.

Cooley is my favorite player, so naturally I would be upset. I am honestly just tired of management not giving anybody time to do anything. They constantly change the team around on a yearly basis. I don't think that anyone on this site loves how Snyder has handled this team.

The Redskins are close to completing a deal for Denver quarterback Jay Cutler, according to an NFL source.

The source, who told The Examiner of the Redskins’ interest in Cutler two weeks ago, was uncertain what Washington had to surrender in the deal and said it’s “going down as we speak.” The Redskins have shopped current starter quarterback Jason Campbell.

The source had said in a separate conversation about five minutes earlier that Washington appeared to be bumped from the favorite position in favor of another team, possibly Cleveland. However, after hanging up he quickly called back to say, “It changed.”

I am guessing that Danny Boy will trade J-Camp, this year's 1st rounder, and possibly next year's 1st or 2nd rounder. Once again, we'll trade the future for the right now.

I rip on Snyder and Vinny all the time for mortgaging the future by trading away picks. However, how exactly are they trading the future for now by acquiring a 25 year old qb? Cutler is actually 2 years younger than JC. Yes losing the picks would hurt, but we would be trading for a pro bowl qb that has a ton of talent that hasn't even reached his prime yet.

I STILL don't believe any of this. I'll eat my words, but this is all ridiculous. Every free agent looking for money or a trade mentions the Redskins. Mortenson uses JLC's article as evidence, then adds his own opinions. The Denver article doesn't have any hard evidence an everything I'm reading says "news out of Washington is that-" It's JLC, it has to be. First it's his "sources". Since last nights imminent article, his post says there is no new news on Cutler but "executives" tell him Snyder is in a hard spot. I hate JLC, for he loves to hate

The Bears traded there 1st rder this year, 3rd rder this year, 1st rder next year, and Kyle Orton for Cutler and a 5th rd pick. LOLLLLLLL

Of course they do. It's no secret that the Redskins are seen as the ATM of the league .... it's that way in every other locker room in the NFL.

as you started this thread can you just get rid of the last 3 words in the title?

IF this FO does this it will only be the draft picks - no one is including Cooley - so do not worry about that

The longer this takes the better for us because IF Snyder was going to do this - it would be already done

And now we see it did not happen  well done

and now we can all get excited about Campbell making this team a great offensive force this year

Are you serious??? Wow, I honestly can't believe that. If the Redskins would've given that up, I would've been pissed. Orton is a good player, but along with 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder, wow, just wow!

They are basically giving up 4 players for one.

So glad we didn't set our team back 5yrs like the Bears just did. Back to work on drafting a OL with that 13th pick

I wonder if we got after Sanchez now. On Sportstalk 980 they are saying that the Skins were extremely close but the Bears had more to offer. Supposedly John Clayton was set to report (right before the Bears news broke) that the Skins were going to get Cutler either today or tomorrow. Clearly the Front Office isn't all that happy with JC as the starter.

Yes, Snyder has definitely 'shown his hand' at this point. JC has got to know by now that he will be lucky not to have stiff competition in camp, and certainly little chance of playing here beyond this year unless he makes some magic happen.

you can't tell me Denver wouldn't have wanted Campbell over Orton as a starter. If Snyder wanted Cutler that bad he would have made the best offer

Turned it on ESPNEWS and now I hear ......

Bears gave 1st rounds in 2009, 2010 and Orton. Bears get a 3rd and Cutler.

BurgundyandGoldfaith wrote:This is completely fake, the Redskins already gave their statement, denying interest in Cutler, why should they give a statement every time they are associated with trade rumors that flare up, after they already did? Seriously, no one but JLC has pointed to a bit of evidence that isn't JLC's hearsay article. If he was right about this, they would have done the deal last night. on another topic though- I just got off the phone with an unnamed NFL source and he says we're trading Haynesworth and the 13th to Indianapolis for Peyton and a 6th rounder, and the trade is going down "as we speak". See, just that easy

I hope you are right about being completely fake.
You know it is driving me crazy but I would to state my opinion. Remember when Joe Gibbs came to town the first time? He came from Don Coryell and tried to make us a pass happy team. It didn't work so he went with what we had. We became a power house running team. This is the secret to being a successful Redskin team. When the posse came around we could pass on everyone because of the running game. This is all really about the offensive line, which we do not have. If you can not win in the trenches you will not win the game unless you are extremely lucky. Some of us want that qb Cutler. I don't. I like JC17. He is a decent qb. I see that he doesn't get rid of the ball in a three step drop really quick. I know that is what the west coast is all about. Did not Gibbs have a problem with his air Coryel game working? I say what you have to do is work with JC17 and build around him. Change you offense to suit him. He is here already. He prefers to be in a shotgun or roll out but Zorn wants him to avoid in the pocket and get rid of it quick. Why cant he just buy us time an extra second or two by rolling out like Joe T used to? Because we are stubborn and trying to make him something he is not. He is a class act off the field as well. Is JC more successful being forced to comply with the west coast? NO!!!!! Can he be the QB of the future? Yes!!!! Did he have people getting open running the right routs and not dropping balls? Could we block? I could go on and on but I don't want to write a novel.
