Is it me, or did the TV coverage not show at least half of the PA announcement the ref made?

He's got to cut this crap out.

Yeah, I dont know how this is going to fly with the coaches. Its better to admit to it than to lie, once you break that trust....

This boy is a moron who CAN YOU BREAK THE TRUST OF THE ONLY PEOPLE STICKING UP FOR YOU!

Think about your pending trial case! Do you think that this is going by unnoticed? I can't defend him anymore.

Ok, so, if Taylor had hit Pittman instead of spitting on him (I actually couldn't see it on that video because it wasn't playing right, but I take everyone's word for it), and Pittman had hit back, they would've both been ejected a la the Atlanta-Philly skirmish way back in September?

I'll admit, spitting is low, be how can the retaliation be ignored?

It was the refs personal decision I believe. Anyone who gets spat on gets a free pass 85% of the time. I dont blame Pitman for hitting him either. Let someone spit on you and see how you take it.

But we all know Pitman like to hit on woman too, so he's no angel.

Oh, no, I don't blame Pitman for hitting Sean. Now, if Sean Taylor spit on me, I would probably just back away and maybe call a lawyer or something, but if I had biceps like Pitman's, I'd probably do more than take a swing at him.

I'm just trying to get the standard straight. It seems to me that, with this judgement call, all anyone has to do if they want to punch sean (or anyone) from now on is claim he spit on them.

Spitting on someone is something you might expect a toddler to do, not a grown man. True, the act itself is a small step back for Sean, and lying about it is a larger step back, but I haven't lost all hope that he can continue to mature and become the kind of player Gibbs wants around.

Is it me or did it more or less look like slobber falling on the ground in front of pittman. theres a difference between spitting in someones face and spitting at their feet.

Im a sean taylor fan so maybe I'm a lil biased but the blob in between the helmets at first is pittmans chin strap...the next thing u see is a blob falling to the ground which im guessing is the spit the ref saw

Come on Sean, I know your passionate and all about the game, which I like, but you got to remember, your teamates and your fans are counting on you.

Funny how a video comes out after the fact. The spit is way to clear. I think it's fake and added to the video, kinda of a photo shop bit.....Nothing even close to this was shown on the regular TV coverage....I don't buy it.....maybe i'm just a homer, but it seems way too fishy...........

For anyone who doesn't believe the video evidence, they also played it on NFL Network and I doubt that the NFL Network has a "Photoshop Scandal" against Sean Taylor. He is still a freak, so I definetely do not think he should be suspended.

It's a conspiracy against Sean Taylor. My bet is that Pittman is an ATV dealer somewhere.

I just seems weird. The actual game footage you don't see a thing. Then this comes out and there it is plain as day. Is one camera better at picking up spit flying than another.

I think NFL films uses Film, rather than video, which should show more. Also, the difference in angle, focal length, and how closely zoomed the shots are.

Best evidence yet. Way to lie to Gregg, Sean. icon_rolleyes.gif

You're assuming that Taylor actually lied to GW. There is no way any of us can know what Taylor actually said to his coaches and teammates. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Taylor actually told them that he spit at Pittman. GW isn't going to come out and in front of the media admit that Taylor told him that he spit. He isn't that stupid and doesn't want his most talented player suspended for a playoff game.

There is still one thing about this that I don't understand....how could he have spit at Pittman through his mouthguard? You can't see if on this latest video but I seem to recall from the video that they showed during the game that Taylor's mouthgaurd was still in during this incident. Seems possible to me that with a moutgaurd in and then trying to yell at someone some spit could come out.

I don't think Greg would lie to us in public either. He said after the game that Sean told him he didn't spit and that he believed him unless otherwise proven.

I'm going by what GREGG said. Gregg said that Taylor denied spitting, so obviously he IS that stupid.

Because I am a fan and, therefore, not required to be objective I'd like to point out that the tape only offers evidence that Taylor spit. It does not prove that he spit at or on anyone.

You make a valid point but I will argue that with the way Taylor has whiffed on tackles this season his aim is quite questionable.

Sean Taylor
