Sonny on the defense (72 yard TD): they overpursued. Lavar came all the way over and they went back to his side...still something to work on".

This is why I say the jury is still out. He's still looking for the Highlight Reel Hit.

Absolutely not..Nic Clemons blew his assignment. They just explained it on replay. That play went to the opposite side of the field.

Good win for us certainly a blow out, hopefully no injuries as well.

"That other guy" announcer says that this is the 150th win (regular season only?) for Joe Gibbs.

Refresh my memory...how many NFL wins does Norv Turner have? Is that mean??? OK, how many did Spurrier have?

I don't think that play was Lavars fault. They said something about Nic Clemons, but there was also a hold on somebody(didn't catch the number). He was basically tackled from behind and was right in front of Gore.

Lavar looked pretty good to me, and I'm one of the guys whose been critical of his overpursuit. He was flying all over the field today and made a lot of tackles and some very impressive plays. I think he was basically playing DE today, but I can't say that for sure. Anybody got any insight?

Not me. I know what GameCenter says. The play went to his side, and he wasn't there...but one of those Clemons boys was apparently supposed to be there.

Norv's got 55 wins (74 losses), and I think Spurrier totalled to about 12 wins, right?

yeah unfortunately I don't have DVR for direct tv, so I'm just going from memory. Even if it was to his side, I don't expect perfection from him. As long as he's going the direction Williams wants him to and he's trying to play the right way so to speak, I'll take it. He had a monster day today aside from his few mistakes.

Gibbs is bubbling.

"We've got a long road ahead of us, but today was a real real good day."

I hope they replay that play so you all can see...the play went to Lavar's side...Nic Clemons left his gap and ran down the line..Gore cut back and ran 72 yds AWAY from Lavar's side and right in the place vacated by Clemons.

THe replay showed it, and they showed Clemons getting chewed on the sidelines. Also, mentioned that is the reason he gave chase so hard because he blew his assignment.

Not that it matters, but on this message board, people will take wrong information and create 60 pages worth of analyzing Lavar in the system. If we are gonna blame him for something, it should at least be something that is his fault.

Okay. It wasn't Lavar's fault. Saw it on ESPN.
You won't get your sixty pages from me.

Not from me, either. Just happiness if Arrington is playing well.

I think he played well and helped us a great deal on defense. Offenses have to account for him. A seven yard tackle for a loss is just as good as a sack.

he looked good....he over ran a few plays but overall he played tough

Did you guys notice that when Patrick Ramsey was in during the 4th quarter, well I don't think he threw 1 PASS!

I could be wrong or maybe I missed a play, but I don't remember Ramsey dropping back and throwing a pass.

So if that was in fact the case, I actually would have prefered to see JC in there just so he could call some plays, make some hand offs, and see some Regular Season NFL speed action.

He threw one pass, a completion to Kozlowski (sp?)

Oh yeah, you are correct. Now I remember, I was all mad becuase I trully belive Koslousy is a waste of a roster spot. None the less I still would have like to see JC.

And Gibbs went out of his way to say that he had praised Ramsey to the entire team for his attitude.

Setting the guidelines by which they know they're a Gibbs team: the coach will do everything to motivate them.

I am glad Gibbs has built his team. Got rid of the cancers at WR, and showed why his is a HOF coach.

Unless I'm mistaken, Jason Campbell was inactive and could not be put in the game. Regardless, Ramsey was the guy to put in there. The Redskins look like they are going to be in the playoff hunt, so if Brunell goes down Ramsey is going to be the guy taking the snaps...
