Yeah, if nothing else it helps Gibbs and company evaluate some of the players. It's hard to evaluate the players if it is always 3 and out. At this point, I'll take any offense and don't care if it's against 6th string players. Just move the ball and sustain drives please.

just a question.

I for one am NOT saying he should start but I am happy he is doing well, I want all of our players to do well.

While I know it's against the scrubinis, there's a whole lot of good feelings in seeing a scoring drive of:

14 plays
80+ yards
6.5 minutes

I think people are glad to see the offense move forward down the field. There is a difference. I personally could care less who does it, would actually prefer that it be Ramsey.

he had his 9 game chance last year.... enough said... he'll serve as a good back up...

Brunell already had his shot last year

I personally want Ramsey do be the guy that takes us to a championship, but he has to do more than just 'play well'. He has to improve each game and each year.

I just hope that he does that.

honestly... who cares... at least it's a drive of more than 30 yards... i'll take anything right now
so you feel good about a 13 yr vet moving the ball against a defensive unit that wonders if they will even have a paycheck 3 weeks from now? :?: #$^%& #&$^^%# *#$*^$ ;furious;

slow your roll... that touchdown was made with the system that gibbs wants the first team to run. who freaking cares when it comes... i want to know that the system can work REGARDLESS of who play QB... i dont care if shuler came out of retirement to run this team. if he can make it work (cause we all believe gibbs will install a system that will) then great. hey maybe brunell can be a starter again until campbell is ready in a year or two.. i want to win.. i'm sick of 3 and outs all game long.
just my opinion

every time i heard boonells cadence at camp, i cringed. i'm still just shell shocked from last season. but still, if ramsey went down, i'd still rather see campell under center learning on the job, rather than see brunell in the mix again.

...brings nightmares to my sleep.

This was on nfl.com: 1-10-WAS 26 (13:54) M.Brunell punts -25 yards to WAS 1, Center-B.Kozlowski. [14] to WAS 1 for no gain.
Someone please explain...

Yes ... these people started dringing way too early and this is what we get.

They've forgottrn the No. 2 QB should look like a world beater when playing against backups and hopefulls. He has to be ready to step in and lead the team if the starter goes down, while his current compitition has to keep a I on teams with a shortage at thier position

let me clarify... i want ramsey to start and do well, but at this point i dont care... i want to win and i dont care who is under center.

Oh well Brock Forsey just cut himself.

Fumble on his first carry.

Are we sure it's not WJFK's Earl Forcey doing a Paper Lion thing?

But you're right. Nothing gets you cut from a Joe Gibbs team quicker than fumblitis.

yea i am pretty impressed with brunell. I like taht he is calm and not making bad passes. At least he is making good passes, like not too hard or too down or too high. I do like that. He is stable, i guess u could say.

I can't get the game in New York...can somebody give me the Cliff's Notes, and maybe a look at how the machinery is running ?

This is the preseason, I am not so concerned with Ramsey's shaky performance. He just has to improve and that is the reality of things. He will have all year to do that barring injury, and if he doesn't then Joe will make a decision.

Ramsey made Brunell look good. That is Bad.

I'm just trying to resist the temptation of reading too much into the first game.

The key for me really starts next week -- in that I want to see them better than this week.
