Did Brunell even attempt a pass longer than 15 yards, other than in garbage time? Is this some kind of negative record?

The "pass" to Cooley that got picked off at the 1 by Roy Williams.

I dunno, but at some point this week, they need to introduce Brunell to the Wide Receivers. He really needs to know who these guys are, considering they have the same color uniform and so forth. Perhaps he has something personal against them 'cause he doesn't know their names - after the introduction he may consider throwing to them.

I have to start this off by acknowledging that I have never, never been a Brunell fan, not even before he came to the Redskins, so you can take my dissatisfaction as just a continued dislike.

In the past 5 sesaon games, the last 3 last year and the first 2 this year, Brunell looks incompetent, inept, bewildered, add any other descriptive adjective. If the announcers are wondering why he is in the game, you know he is doing beyond poor. But Gibbs will not change, Brunell will be the quarterback until the end of the season, barring injury. I am not wishing that on him either.

Yeah, the one Madden and Michaels said he hung up there way too long. Taylor makes a play and Brunell gives it right back. No wonder he doesn't throw long anymore.

I think "hang up there way too long" does not do justice to just how awful that throw really was.

Last time I checked none of the play offense and THATS WHY WE LOST.
Well I'm glad you checked but my point was just to say that we have let go of a few good players that we should have kept.

Dallas scored 24 points. So lets not praise the defense that much ok and with that I think they too stunk it up. Those who do not want to admit it are just fooling themselves.

brunell has carte blanche with Gibbs because he brunell basically saved Gibbs life in Jacksonville taking him to the hospital, so now we're stuck with a real nice horrible qb.

Does anyone remember Mark's performance the end of last year?
Anything in the Pre-season or last 2 wks to point to improvement?
I saw in MB's press conference he was using the new offense as a
cop out. I'll bet Al Saunders will be the one to say to Joe, I think we
might should consider a change at quarterback. Then Gibbs will go into the mantra of how the qb is a reflection of the whole offense and blah blah blah, look the reality is OUR QUARTERBACK IS DONE
NOT FOR THIS SEASON
FOR HIS CAREER
CASH'N IN while he CASH'S it in
Sadly I think Joe will stick by mark and we might even beat the texans which will only further delay the inevitable. Does anyone here really believe Mark Brunell will win us or even take us to a SB?

Well, I'll skip right by all of the angst that has no doubt dominated the previous 50 pages of this thread, and say one thing: the standings show us one game off the top of the NFC East lead at this point.

0-2 isn't good, but nobody is going to run away with this division. Until this offence clicks, the Redskins are going to have to win ugly (let's face it, they've already got the ugly part in the bag). But if they can just keep in touch at this point, I foresee a charge in the second half of the season.

And I haven't even been drinking.
