That makes complete sense. Going to the Texans or the Jets or whoever mid-season is basically a losing scenario for him. How likely would it be for him to go to one of those places at this point in the season and be successful? He's better off waiting it out and starting fresh in the offseason.
Absolutely. RGIII is Danny boy's little pet. RGIII was able to get a coach fired, along with the best OC in the NFL --- a group that did everything possible to make him succeed, well, until RGIII's injury and ego got in the way and ruined it for everyone. There aren't many places a guy KNOWS he'll get special treatment --- and RGIII knows he will with our idiotic owner. He also knows he won't be given the opportunities he will be in DC. Any other team in the NFL won't be as patient (and dumb) with him as Danny boy.
Going to HOU would be idiotic since he doesn't fit in their OFF and there is talk down in Houston that O'Brien may be on the hot seat. Honestly though, if the NYJs wanted him it would be dumb for him not to go. They are a decent team with a decent coach, a coach that appears to have staying power. They also have a good support system to help him transition into an NFL QB. Regardless, going anywhere as a QB is ridiculous mid-year. He apparenetly has had issues with playbooks after having entire offseasons; I doubt he (or really any QB in the NFL) could easily learn a playbook midyear and contribute that season.
If RGIII waits, he will most likely be cut at season end. He'll be able to wait and see who gets fired/hired and also see who has interest, then make a decision ---- one he can personally make opposed to Scot making it for him.
In most cases, he'll be a back-up QB candidate or at the very best in a position to "compete for the starting job" scenario. It is guaranteed that no team in the NFL will sign him as the "starter". And if Gruden were fired and Scot actually wanted RGIII back (which I don't think is the case) and Danny boy isn't involved (which I doubt), then they could sign RGIII back and have him "compete" here --- and RGIII knows he'll have "preference" since he is Danny's little pet. Not a bad scenario for him, but there are a ton of "ifs" that accompany it. If the season continues as it is now, I don't see Gruden being fired and I don't see Scot wanting RGIII back but as long as Danny boy is around, you can guarantee that insanely dumb things/decisions will be made.
Fair enough. I cant argue with your opinion with anything other than an opinion. We will see what happens soon.

Zero interest in Griffin since August. Not surprising.
I'm really interested to see how much interest there is for him in the off-season?
Probably a decent amount of interest. There are several teams that are either QB needy, or teams that are due for a complete overhaul.

Depends on when we cut ties. I don't think we have to make a decision until just before the season starts, so there may be more of the same until then.

Oh boy! - that could bother more than a few fans here

I tend to think, based off of the perception of Keim and others, that he will be gone before April of next year.

This kid is a survivor - it's just amazing ... according to many here he's not worth feeding and yet here we are speculating that he's going to be here for another 5 months or more - WHY? why is a player at one of the most important positions of an NFL franchise still on the roster
if it's so obvious that he's not worth anything to anyone; then why is he still in D.C.?
he can't play so nobody's worried about his going to an NFC East franchise, let alone another NFL franchise - I just can't figure this out

this is going to be fun

The real question is why you keep asking the same question that people have responded to over and over and over again. Fking tiresome.

Presumably, he knows the playbook, even if he can't execute the plays, a rival could still pick his (slow processing) brain for info.

Really - I'm sorry - I don't recall seeing an answer that explains why we are keeping a player that cannot play, cannot run an NFL offense and has "spatial issues", let alone "over and over and over again" - people may have tried to explain why RG3 the QB who helped this franchise win the NFC EAST in 2012 is here but not why RG3 who is a worthless player to the Redskins is here - please enlighten me

Because he doesn't like the answer. So, he's waiting until people get sick of him and give him one he does like. Same thing every thread. Broken record.

They should cut Griffin as soon as there isn't a penalty for cutting him. Obviously he doesn't fit Gruden's offense so even if they hadn't pulled the 16M extension option there is no reason to keep him. Out of respect for what he did in 2012 the decent thing to do is cut him early so he and his agent have every opportunity to canvas the league and find a suitable opportunity for him in 2016 if one exists.

They won't cut him until the season is over, IMO.
I don't see how Griffin could go to another team, mid-season, and be effective. It's in everyone's best interests for him to be released after this season is over.

What answer? I agree with the broken record thing, but it's not like he's wrong. No one has answered his rhetorical question because it's the people he's goading who don't like the answer.

It's been answered ad nauseum. They still owe him $3.35 Million or so dollars and they're not going to cut him if they can possibly recoup any of that via trade between now and June 1st.

I understand the circumstances and the reasons for keeping Griffin the NFL QB, what I don't understand are the Griffin detractors who claim he cannot run and has no possibility of playing QB in the NFL - what do they feel are the reasons for keeping a player who has zero capability to play or help the franchise
It might have been a mistake back when, to exercise the option with Griffin but it was a risk at that time that the FO elected to take - it did not work out and they & Gruden decided to go with Cousins and see what happens ...
Griffin most likely is not playing QB here this season but I don't think that the story ends with this kid never playing another down as QB in the NFL either as some here have claimed - sometime this off season Griffin is going to be a FA and he will get a chance to play QB ...
there aren't a lot of QBs that have his athleticism and he's going to get a chance to show that he's not just a read option QB
btw - I have not seen these answers "ad nauseum" as claimed
