Poor Robert was knocked down and his head hit the turf time and time again.
Of course people think that Cousins or some other back up QB can do better behind that pass protection. He did have some time to get rid of the ball but he was seeing stars. Robert was supposed to be a bit of a project coming out of school into a pro offense. He had success last year because of the new twist in the offense that kept teams off balance and we ran the ball and didn't give up on it. If you can keep him upright, half the time he wasn't yesterday, and run the ball it is a different game. You know that. I know that. Most of us do. So after we kill Cousins behind that line they will say that Cousins sucks too. Then they will call for Pat White. It's a never ending saga. We finally get a real franchise QB and they want the other guy who isn't as good.

Maybe do a Colt Brenan / Pat White wildcat-pistol combo, so defenses are kept guessing. And let's get Marcus Mason in there, while we're at it. Overlooked all-stars.
LOL
+1
You forgot WR Marko "The Next Randy Moss" Mitchell.
I thought putting Cousins in Sunday was the worst coaching decision made all day. Just dropped KC's trade value from maybe a third to a conditional 7th.

Roberts other leg got banged up so it was the right choice. imo

Yeah, when he threw that pick 6, I watched his trade value drop a round every ten yards that the defender ran into the endzone.
It was like there goes a 1st.....2nd.......3rd............4th..........5th round pick.

I'm sure your O is right, I was being a little facetious.

He's worth more to us as a backup than a future 3rd round pick, anyway. So if that was his true trade value, no harm done.

I'll second that ^^ opinion - Cousins is NOT going anywhere for a 3rd round pick unless that is only part of the package
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
After his contract expires I think he will stick around. If he gets an offer to be a starter he may not, but who would do that? There might be a handful of teams that would offer him a chance and that might be enough. I would wish him the best unless he is a division rival.

See that's the thing, I think if he's offered a chance to start, he'll take it. I mean he wants to play, why wouldn't he?
Its going to be a sad day if that happens; I just hope we can convince him to stick around for a few more years once his contract is up. He's valuable to this franchise.
Cousins' value will sky rocket once again if he gets the chance to start. With the hits Griffin keeps taking it wouldn't surprise me if we'll see it soon.

I'll be shocked if Kurt starts a game this entire year.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

BS - the offense can play a lot better than we saw in the early games …
RG3 is just doing what Kyle wants - he needs to be a more versatile QB than what we saw last season and he's getting better at being that
Kyle has a very good QB and a bunch of offensive weapons that he's not taking the best advantage of
Kyle will figure this out (or Mike will) and we'll see a lot more from this offense

Cousins might start at QB but he's not starting a game if RG3 is able to, BECAUSE RG3 gives the offense (& the team) the best chance at success
Cousins is a very good QB but he's the backup QB and we're not putting him in there because he's not as good as RG3
got it?

He'll come in when Griffin gets hurt again. Got it?

WRONG - you don't 'get it' at all
let me try and help … Kirk Cousins will play QB IF (NOT when) RG3 is not able to play

The way this season is going... I say bring in Cousins so people get the real gist. It is unfortunate, but the other guy always seems better. Geez, we got a real franchise QB. Robert will be successful for years to come
