I wasnt happy with the idea of us trading up to get him at first but the more I think about it the more I like it. We just need to go ahead a get this trade done and the best players we can in free agency.

this whole thing about them being friends is so freaking stupid. these guys are in a results based business. the rams will trade the pick to the best offer they get. if it's the redskins it's not because their friends.

The longer this goes on, the more it benefits us. Right now the Rams pick is as highly valued as it's going to get.
I want us to wrap up that trade as soon as possible, but if we successfully keep St. Louis interested for a few more weeks (until after the FA QBs hit the market), that will help us in the long run. Provided we still get the pick, of course.
I try to make a point of not getting hooked on one specific player in the draft, and hoping that the Redskins draft that player. There's so much due diligence to be done yet, and so many things that could go wrong. The fact is there is NOTHING to guarantee that RGIII will be the player we all hope.
But hope is what this franchise needs more than almost anything else. Hope and a bona fide franchise quarterback. I admit it - I've broken my own rules and I'm all in for RGIII.
