SURPRISE - this fan is still on the Redskins bandwagon AND I support Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan in the rebuilding of this franchise

I don't understand this move but that doesn't mean that it's a terrible thing

I believe that if Mike and Bruce don't think that Kyle is good enough to make this offense work then he'll be gone and same for Haslett - same for every player and coach - these guys are going to get it done

I still think we are very lucky to have NFL guys like these 2 in charge here

It's not rolling so much as being dragged ... right off a cliff.

I worried about something like this from the Detriot game.

Then you're deluding yourself. I'm not even sure Buce carries the kind of weight to make any decisions without Mike's approval, but I hope so.

The float through the jungle ends and the white water lies ahead! This is when it gets fun. I just hope the captain knows what he's doing on this Grossman thing because it makes zero sense to me...

If we take him at his word, it looks like the fact that they are out of the playoff hunt, McNabb looked better over the last 4 games and he liked what he saw. Now it's time to see what else he has on his roster. Not just at QB but at every position.

Although I was on hand for MNF and will be on hand for the Rex Grossman show, I am still on the Shanny/Bruce wagon.

 and this from a guy that said in August - "We will definetly have a winning record this season - 4-2 or 5-1 in division .. 10-6 or 11-5" ROTFALMAO

Please! You said in October that the Cowpies would win the division.
ROTFALMAO

August was a lifetime ago; before I knew Shanahan was an idiot, and would pull his starting QB with more than two minutes left in a winable game. And, last time I checked, we are 2-2 in the division and could still go 4-2.

I predict that over the next three weeks as well as the next two years, I'll still be on the bandwagon even if it's just with Irn-Bru and TeeterSalad

As stated before, I've always been, and always will be on the Skins bandwagon. It's the Bruce Allen/Mike Shanahan bandwagon, that I'm taking a pass on as of now. I'm pulling for those two, but the "bandwagon" is just a little much.

Whoever started this thread better have some solid grounds to ask anybody to join the bandwagon because ...

1) the hiring of Macnab was done on the CLOCK of this Front Office.

2) This does not look like a decsion to allow him to heal and protect him from one of the most inept OL in the NFL. It appears as if the decision is simply to get rid of him in a less than dignified way (scapegoat?) and give a chance to GROSSman to decide whether he is worthy of being a back up next year.

3) I have SERIOUS reservations about GROSSman. [-X

And the most serious issue here is not the benching, what if Mr. GROSS looks again as awful as he did the last time he replaced Donovan? Where does that leave the credibility of this coach to judge who gives the team the better chance to win?

And,

4) where do the picks that went into that trade end up if all we do is realeasing Donovan? :hmm:

Obviously, the Macnab experiment did not pan out in the minds of the Head Coach and his Offensive Coordinator. For me, he never had a real chance with that OL. But one of the most interesting question is: Who will want to come to Washington to play QB now?

I am still in the bandwagon. But I am in it with my eyes open.

This move does not make much sense EVEN if they planned to release Macnab by the end of the season. I can already tell them that Mr. GROSS will take them NOWHERE as a starter and he is not the greatest backup either. No need to find out the obvious and they should try to avoid an embarrassment trying to prove otherwise.

I am still on the bandwagon ... cautiously and paying attention to every single move from now on ... I will support them but they are playing with fire at a time when we needed the LEAST amount of drama and controversy among the players and coaches.

Well, this is what I was saying early in the year. Why trade for a vet QB when we can't even protect him? Yes, he does have some pocket presence compared to JC, but we could have gone with JC and spent the 2nd rounder on another blocker. When you have everything in place, I believe #5 can get the job done. He hasn't had a real chance and I even I knew that it wouldn't happen. I knew it was a wasted trade but some people think that a good or great or even a step above from JC could make a huge difference. I guess we all know better now. One day we will learn.

Sooo, you think Grossman or Beck could be the QB of the future for us? That would be the only reason to "evaluate" them now

Maybe you are one of those brain surgeons on this board who told me Mike Vick wouldn't make our team when I said he was the Philly QB we should have traded for.

The frustration meter among Redskins faithful is, understandably, pegged at the top. None the less, it's important to remember that your replies should address the POST... and not the POSTER. Thanks!

Mike Vick was never offered up for trade. So how do you trade for a guy a team isn't trading?
