OK, Check.

year two get a D with a major investment and some young guys (mission accomplished)

OK, Check.

year three (after a misserable year 2 with no O) get a new QB and buy a prototypical wide out.

at this point we will have a sick D with two years under its belt and a new high power O.

Sorry, I do not see a new QB in a new system and. all of the sudden, as in dreamland, we get to succeed. What if the head coach does not last that long? Just asking ...

Do you call this a plan?
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Curious, but I have never used the word "shortsided" in my life. Love it if you may, but I don't even know what the hell "shortsided" means. Did you say you went to college? If so, that must be some new word I'm not familiar with, so that's my fault. I graduated from college in 1992 and concede that I may not be familiar with the new lingo used these days.

Edit: Actually, check that... I have used the word short-sided before. But it was on a golf course after I hit a 4-iron approach to the green that landed on the fringe near the flag, you know, on the short-side of the green. The "short-side" of the green is the side to which the hole is cut. But other than that, I'm not familiar with your use of "shortsided."

Are you kidding me? You really are going to address the misspelling of a word on a messageboard. Sorry, didn't spellcheck it. Get a life my man. What a tool.

Funny thing, I also have a JD and LLM --- and spelling wasn't a subject in either curriculum. Not something we focus too much on. We have spellcheck. My bad.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Other than Moss, we have no real speed on our offense.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but Dallas' offensive line is at least 3 times better than the skins. To have a small rb go into a hole that doesn't exist is a bad idea. I, too, noticed something in that game last night, which was it IS possible to run against the giants, if its certain opponents, none of which being the skins.

I need to pipe in, as I haven't seen ANY of the game.
I didn't see any of the "highlights" on NFLN last night and didn't see any again tonight.
During the "fastest 3 minutes", not even a mention.
The Skins did play yesterday, right? If not for see a score and some stats, I wouldn't know.
Is that how bad of a game it really was? No highlights or mention of the game?
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

I waited long enough and fianlly saw some "highlights" of the game. WOW! That redzone playcalling is awful. Worse than advertised.

We won the game.
The defense played a heck of a game holding the Rams to seven points.
The offense is a work in progress just like we should have expected. Did any of you think the offense was going to come in and light the world on fire right away?
The good thing is the offense had a time of possession of 34 min to the Rams 24 minutes. The offense was in the red zone five times. They did not convert but the good thing is we are moving the ball into the red zone. A good week of practicing red zone plays should do the trick.

It takes time and work to get it going. Hold steady we are right there. JC will lead this team. We are close. Oh so close I can feel it. FootballIcon
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

The Chargers dont have a particularly good offensive line and yet Sproles still manages to find holes to run through. The fact of the matter is that on offense we no players with game breaking speed other than Santana Moss. Look at the top teams in the league and you'll see that all of them have offensive weapons that are capable of taking it to the house on any given play. We dont have that and until we do we are going to have a struggling offense.

The offense should not be a work in progress at this point. Zorn is in his second season as the playcaller, JC is in his 5th NFL season and second in the system, and we have three 2nd round receivers that aren't rookies anymore. There is no excuse for our pathetic excuse of an offense.

OK

many here voiced concerns from last year, namely:
the game calling by Zorn
the QB
the offensive line
the 3 draft picks Davis, Kelly and Thomas

nobody thought we would "come in here and light the world on fire right away" but we did expect to see some progress with these issues and after 2 games the progress from last season is not very good in my opinion
there were a number of posters here that intimated that anyone who did not think positively about these issues was basically a pessimist, well we have a mediocre record over the past years that is primarily due to how the team has been managed and right now it looks like a bit of a challenge to even be mediocre this year

after 2 games there is some reason for us to be a little disapointed, no?

OK - I'll agree that we have another week and another opportunity (Detroit) to show that progress has been made but I would have preferred that we started showing that already - we most likely should be 1-1 but it was how we played offensively in both the loss and the win that is so concerning to some of us

btw - I think Detroit is going to be fired up after what they have seen from our offense these past 2 weeks

It takes time and work to get it going. Hold steady we are right there. JC will lead this team. We are close. Oh so close I can feel it. FootballIcon

I respect your opinion - the defense still looks like it will be fine, I think Campbell may be able to manage a game adequately but I'm afraid I just do not have as much faith in the HC right now - he really needs to re-invent himself this week or I'm afraid we are in for a very troubling season

I would be surprised if anyone thinks we should be a bigger favorite over Detroit who we beat last year than we were over a team that beat us last year
what does that say about how our team is perceived?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Hadn´t said anything before, cause I was too mad/sad/angry/disapointed. I had never in my life been so sad after a win.
All I want to say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH, to all the fans that booed the team in the stadium. Maybe someone in the organization realizes that we fans deserve better.
