You saw it too!
You could hear the fans booing. That was a terrible mis-call.
Maybe the O guy'd hand got caught in our guys jersey.

that's one way of looking at it!

This was a great way to start off the season. We got a win, we finished strong, our qb's looked good, our rookies looked good, and no one is really hurt as far as we know.......Hail to the Redskins.....

Good start for the ZORN era in Washington. He opened it up in the second half and it led to a come-from-behind victory. I just see a more energized team than with Gibbs. Portis, Springs, Smoot, and the others were having fun and jumping up and down when Richardson got the pick-6. They look like they are having fun!

Lorenzen looks so ugly as a QB, his mechanics look really bad, but he is doing well against out 3rd stringers.

That was a good game. I was actually entertained throughout the entire game and was happy to see the Skins send Green and Monk into the HOF with a win over the Colts. 30 to 16!!!!

It was truly a Redskins Weekend in Canton, OH and it ended with a nice W. Hope any dings are healed soon and the Skins will continue to fine tune their game leading up to a successful season this year. Go Skins! Hail!

I was really impressed with Brennen and Mason tonight. Granted, it is the first pre-season game but both looked really good. Brennen threw 2 really great long accurate passes, right on the money. Mason looked more confident than last year with 98 yards. The defense gave up to many long runs but hopefully they can work on that.
Good to start off even thepre-season with a win.

Man, nice game. Observations...
Zorn - Even though it was vanilla, I thought he called an excellent game and looked very poised on the sideline.
Sushi - The missed FG sucked, but at least his kick-offs were deep, much longer than last year.
Horton - I thought he was very impressive. I think he makes the team. He was all over the place making plays.
Mason - Quietly racked up like 98 yds. I like this kid.
Brennan - What can you say, the kid has some fire. He was also impressive.
Horton, Campbell, Mason and Brennan deserve game balls.

Great effort by the Skins. It looks like Zorn has his house in order. Not that I want to jinx it by writing that. . .

It was a good game.....
Horton was a beast. Jumped on that onside kick and picked off 2 balls.
Brennan has a strong arm and nice touch....let's keep him
Mason...I liked him since last year.....keep him
Richardson was quiet until the pick for a touchdown....good job.
Next victim will be the Bills

Knowing that every other team in our division was watching this game I was alittle upset that nbc's camera not only kept shooting Zorn from the side so that you could read his lips while sending in the play but also did anyone notice the extreme close-up of the play sheet with the plays Zorn had written in blue sharpie soo visable, I've got this game on tivo as I'm sure every other nfc team does and I can read the whole back of that play sheet! I'm not sure how detrimental that is but it certainly didn't do us any favors.
Having said that WOW what a great game first there were no major injuries, second Jason and the first offense looked good except Jansen getting completed burned on a swim move, worried about Jansen he's old and he has stayed injured, third our first team d has a hole and its obvious and I think this hole may deserve its own thread the hole is not the average Dline because I believe we make up for them with excellent LB's, no our hole is in the absence of Sean Taylor and the presence of Reed Doughty and Stuart Schweigart, the Colts knew this and they exploited it matching Reed with Dallas Clark in the slot and burning Schweigart for a TD, I'm praying for Chris Horton to get good enough to be our SS because these two white guys are killing me (I am white too so im not being racist) last year it hurt me to see Reed get targeted and burned because everytime it happens I say "man that play would've never happened had 21 been there" and it just keeps happening. Case in point during one of the completions to Doughty's man Reed came up and layed what looked like a solid blow, but not only did the receiver who I believe was a tight end, not only did he hold on the catch but he just bounced right up and wasn't even dizzy, my point is this...obviously we cant expect reed to be ST but we should expect a decent hitter and cover guy to start for this defense, after the last half of last season and this game I have been left with only 1 conclusion REED DOUGHTY IS A LIABILITY and so is schweigart although I've only seen stuart burned once and I've been watching Reed get burned for half a year. If we don't do something to fix this, ttit will hurt us with it trust me they did it last year remember owens dunking over the goal post that was after burning Reed Doughty.
Having said that, I think we also need competition at Kicker, Suisham picked up where he left off last season by missing a very makeable 30 yarder, and Todd Collins picked up where he left off last season by getting sacked. The fact that TC was a 13 year system QB and his lack of mobility added to the impressive performance and down right obvious potential of Colt Brennan lead me to say Todd should be the #3 and Colt #2.
Good job Chris Horton, you got lucky that reciever dropped a TD on you late but you made a huge play on the first play of the game and played great throughout, really great for a seventh rounder.
I like Zorn's offense, it seems alot better than Al's because it exploits matchups in the passing game. Colt Brennan is player of the game thats my take.

Great Game, alot of possitives moving forward, like everybody else said, Horton, Brennan, Campbell and Mason had good games, the O line played pretty well and for the most part gave the QB's time to throw and were giving the backs holes to run threw.
The one disapointment I had, was Indy was passing the ball early fairly easy against the D, but its only August 3rd.

Keep in mind we have ZERO starting D-Lineman in last nite, even on the 1st drive and one starting LB.

Loved the effort earlier.
I said it before , I will say it again. Colt Brennan will be the QB to win the Super Bowl for our team again. Mark my words guys. It will happen within the next ten years.
Did you see how Jim Zorn is real chummy with him? Also Brennan is right by coach Zorns side. Also Zorns offensive scheme looks very sharp. I am feeling good baby. Yes I know its only the pre season but I seen alot of good things out there.
Also Horton and the other rookie number 40 looked real good too.

brennan looked great but you are crazy to think that he will win us a superbowl. why? because we drafted him to trade him. we give up a six rounder to get him. give him two/three years under zorn... polish him up, have some great showings in preseason, and flip him for a second rounder or so. its called "flip that qb". smart move by the skins... a la matt shuab or aj feeley who both grabbed high draft picks.

Answer me a few questions since you seem to know so much.
What happens if Jason Campbell gets hurt or does not pan out to be the Qb we all hope he will be?
Todd Collins becomes a starter? For how long? The next QB on the list would be Brennan.
In this league there is always the chance of injury or a player not performing the way we want them too.
Jim Zorn likes Brennan and he consulted with the Owner and Cerratto to get Brennan. He was handpicked by Zorn. Jason Campbell on the other hand was already here.
Put it this way. If Brennan keeps looking good in practice, performing well when he is called upon? Then all it takes is a few bad performances from Campbell and boom! We have a QB contreversy!
Todd Collins is too old to be a permanent solution. The obvious choice would be Brennan. The kid has that special something the extra ummmph that it takes to win. You have your right to your opinion. Just remember a few years from now. Who told you it first. I will be cheering my butt off when the SKins win there next SuperBowl.
