( obviously not the Raiders). I think its probably a moot point anyway as with only 4 WRs on the roster and a free space I think we must have a WR move happening.

The Cards signed him so I'd say it's a moot point.

Gibbs4Life wrote:Darius is a great player why did they release him?

For the same reason the Jaguars let him go.

BTW this thread is for discussing players cut by the REDSKINS, other players cut by other teams can be discussed here but I hope I answered your Questions

I have a question for you financial gurus. Haven't I read that if we cut a veteran player such as Wynn now and he clears waivers, that we can resign after week 1 w/o guaranteeing his full years salary, but if we resign before week 1 it automatically guarantees the salary for the year.

You have pretty good hearing. Wynn was only due $850,000 this year

Roster Now At 53
The Redskins claimed two players off waivers that I am going to be the first to admit I know absolutely nothing about - WR Shaun Bodiford and TE Cody Boyd. Never heard of them.

They cut TE Eric Edwards so the roster is at the max, but I still think there will be more tweaks over the next few weeks.

They also reached injury settlements with Derrick Blaylock and Pete Schmitt, so there's a chance Blaylock coems back in the second half of the season with the Skins if they so desire his services.

The Redskins dropped their roster to 52 Saturday because they planned to claim a wide receiver. They had only four prior to the waiver claim. They lost Taye Biddle of the Panthers to the Bucs but ended up with Shaun Bodiford of the Packers.

The Redskins tried to get him.

Buccaneers released WR Taye Biddle.

Biddle, who was released to make room for Jeremiah Trotter, had been claimed from the Panthers on Sunday.
