Ramsey's career was ruined by the Old Ball Coach. I think that kid could have been good if he were properly coached and given a chance.skinsfan#33 wrote:BnGhog wrote:Besides, If we didn't get Boonell, you guys would just be talking all kinds of crap about why didn't we get a QB, because Ramsey would have thrown 23 Ints. that year.
Makes perfect sense, since the in the 29 games prior to the 2005 season Ramsey had thrown 28 INTs basically one per game. So I guess he was going to play 23 games in a 16 game season to get to 23 INTs.
This is another dead horse so I'll stop beating it.

They need to get a draft pick for him at this point. He's #3, he'll never see the field. If Gibbs think that he'd need to yank Collins cus he sucks then he should have just made Brunell #2.
If either Collins or Brunell are playing more than 2 games this season, we're screwed regardless. Neither have what it takes to get this team anywhere far. So let's get something for his old behind instead of just cutting him and getting nothing.

Trade Brunell, make ARE our reserve #3, and look for a young QB for the practice squad. I also heard in a John Clayton interview yesterday, that Jacksonville still has some interest in Brunell, it would be a big PR move for them. Give us a 4th round pick and if he playes more then 50% of their plays it becomes a 3rd.

That'd be the way to go, more than we could probably get from SEA. I doubt it'll happen, Gibbs has some kind of man-crush on MB04 and will pull a PRAM on Collins and JC.

SEA already said they want him.
I hear you Chris - I think more than 1 team "wants" him - I just think that no team is going to trade for him and right now I'm still not sure that Gibbs wants to let him go - I'd say it has nothing to do with "blind faith" and more to do with what Brunell contributes around the team.
I am not happy about our current QB situation but I just do not see them cutting him at this time - We will be in horrible shape if Campbell cannot play or does not look really promising and all we have is Collins

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Then Gibbs needs to demote Collins. Clearly the coaching staff wants Collins, either live with it or change it. We need draft pics, we have holes and we need depth. You can always second guess yourself and spin your wheels but sometimes you need to just pull the trigger and move on.
I'm fine with Gibbs keeping Brunell if he wants to but it almost doesn't seem legit that Collins is #2... I don't see it sticking.

we are looking at a 6th round pick at best..
But they're aware like we're aware that they'd still need to pry Brunell from Gibbs cold dead fingers to get to him....even at the 4th QB spot.
