It's official. I'm gonna need to go look in my books for the last time we put up 52. I know we had 40 against the aints a few years ago, but 52 ? Gotta hit the books for that.

Last time the Redskins hit 50+ was '91 against Glanville's all-blitz Falcons. The game when Rypien asked to come out in the 3rd quarter because the score was so bad, and Jeff Rutledge kep bombing the Falcons. Hogs begged the Falcons to stop blitzing...every time they blitzed, the Skins would pick it up and Rutledge would hit Monk or Clark for long gains.

This is a strong Redskins team. I'll say it again: they aren't a level better than all the rest, but they are about as good as the best in the NFL.
"Cutting the lead to 42 points!"

Wo! Ramsey gets to throw a pass...completes it. Getting him into the game. A little.

and the player that is making it happen is Mark Brunell. To my huge dismay, Mark Brunell is playing as well as any QB in the NFL right now. He gives us a shot at the superbowl.
Obviously it all comes down to Gibbs, but Mark is the man, and I'll eat crow every single week and love it!!

Huff: "Ran into something. A wall. That was a hit you could feel all the way up in the broadcast booth"
Sonny on the defense (72 yard TD): they overpursued. Lavar came all the way over and they went back to his side...still something to work on".

At this rate, the 9ers will outscore us in the 4th quarter.
Too bad we outscoured them by 21 in the 2nd quarter and by 10 in the third.
