At one time I mistakenly thought that Dan Snyder had brought in Mike Shanahan to basically run this franchise - that was so long ago and was obviously not true - Dan Snyder may have intimated that to Mike to get him here but we now know what Dan Snyder's word means

I did think that Mike Shanahan wanted RG3 but most of us now know that Dan Snyder made them make the trade for RG3

I do still think that RG3 had the talent but was not prepared properly to make the transition to the NFL - starting Kirk Cousins early may have been beneficial to RG3

Jay Gruden was forced by Dan Snyder to name RG3 as the starter - I'm convinced that Jay and Scot squashed that deal

the point of all this is that this stuff is all old news and means nothing - I still like RG3 and I like Kirk Cousins - Jay Gruden is getting better

I don't hate any player on the Redskins roster because I don't think that's what a good fan should do

there's no way that you can make me go read any of your stupid posts from years ago - I will not read trash

Definitely some truth in that. But sounds like it was probably several factors. There was an article in WaPost yesterday where Gruden talked about tailoring the play calling to protect the young offensive line early on too. Not one I'd really considered.
