Darthmonk, clearly the fact that KC can run the read option further cements his superiority to the dim witted Griffin. He can even run the plays that Griffin is supposedly good at running. Using the read option for Griffin is a clear sign that he is not a good qb and has 0 potential. Running it with KC is just savvy football.

Obviously.

Cousins ran one play and went into a slide before he got the 1st down ... at first i thought that he did it to avoid taking the hit and then I replayed the play and saw that he could have got the yardage needed and still avoided the hit

no worries - Griffin will be back making plays soon - he will not be taking the risks he used to + he will be getting more out of this offense

He wasn't referring to that play. He was talking about a scramble where he slid feet first like three yards before the first down. I noticed it too, and made a comment to my wife.

Prior to the Arizona game on ESPN980, they were reporting that RG3 was out warming up with the team running full sprints and route running catching passes. FYI. He appears to be close. Looks likely he will be back for the Vikings game.

I have a feeling that the Redskins are dumbfounded about Kirk and are going to push Robert back and he will be back for the Cowboys game Oct 27th. My only source is this http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... vs-cowboys But it may be the Vikings game he's ready to ball. He likes the big light and the Cowboys is the big light.

But I think there is truth and Robert has shown in the past he recovers fast and wants to be back before others think he will be. One thing I ask and hope is that the fans don't expect him to be a superstar the first game back. Don't be as critical, because he is the best option the team has right now.

Gruden will ONLY 'make' Griffin play when he feels that he's healthy and ready - his physical readiness is one thing ... Gruden will NOT let Griffin play until he's convinced that he gives the offense a better QB than Cousins - we all know (well most of us) that Griffin is the best QB on the roster but Gruden will not put Griffin back in until he's sure that he's the best QB for this offense

We might have won some of these games but I don't think that we lost just because Cousins is the QB

FOR SURE - Cousins is not making the most of his opportunity - however, he is still a good back up QB

I am so glad that we have Robert Griffin as our QB - I cannot imagine where we'd be without him - all these idiots that think we gave up too much for him cannot prove that all the picks we would have made would be great players AND we still would not have a good QB

our depth was hurt more by the Goodell/Mara BS than not having those picks

having a future great QB is a HUGE deal - wait and see

That an being negatively judged because he doesn't perform as great as expected. I'm iffy, like I want to see him but don't think his ankle is as much of a concern as a knee getting re-injured.

In my original post I said "re-injured". So I meant concern of his knee getting re-injured last season. My bad, I could have written clearer.

I don't think this has been talked about but Robert is on his way back and will start individual drills for a week then practice the following week and see where he is at. http://www.csnwashington.com/redskinsbl ... ual-drills

I'm totally with you man. I want to see him back as soon as possible, but this just feels like a recipe for disaster.

I do not want to see Griffin play until he is fully recovered AND the OL can protect him. I doubt that is this season.

I think we see Griffin in next week's game against Minnesota. I don't think he'll have enough time to be fully cleared AND show gruden whatever it is that gruden needs to see to deem him "ready to go" by Ttit on Monday, personally. I think that comes with split time this week and a full week of prep for Minnesota. This also allows him to start preparing for Minnesota in advance of playing Ttit, since he'll be ruled out for that game, which is good because that will be a short week between Ttit and Minnesota.

This is all based on absolutely nothing.

I don't want to play Russian Roulette with RGIII anymore.

I want him to be as healthy as he was before the Jacksonville game.

^^ The two comments above. They are very good explanations and thoughts. But, we have learned that if Robert might have a chance to come back and play he goes into ultra zone and prepares himself so that he will be ready to play. I don't know if the new coach will allow him to play sitting him could be the best option. I just wouldn't be surprised if we see him on MNF trying to beat the red hot Dallas team.

I think the coaches are trying to get Griffin back on the field as soon as they can and I think that Griffin really wants to be the QB ASAP

I understand Griffin needs time and even though I think he's going to be a really good QB the question is ... how much time will it take for Griffin to be the QB that Gruden (& RG3) think is best for him and the team - he has a better chance of that IMO by not rushing back

I don't see that it's that big a deal to wait a few weeks ...

I hope these guys are thinking about what's best for this franchise long term and not doing whatever it takes to finish at 8-8 or 9-7

    RECENT NEWS

Coach Jay Gruden would "guarantee...most likely" that Robert Griffin III (ankle) returns for the Week 11 game against the Bucs.
There's still a chance Griffin returns for Week 9 at Minnesota, but holding him out through the Week 10 bye is firmly on Gruden's radar.

"You've got a good bye week, you've got a couple weeks to make sure it's ready. ... You know, it's a very difficult position to play, and just because he's healthy, he hasn't taken a meaningful rep in about six weeks," Gruden said.

All we know right now is that Colt McCoy will almost certainly start in Dallas on Monday night, making the Cowboys an excellent D/ST streamer. Oct 23 - 11:28 AM
