I'm pretty sure he was talking about Hognostications, where ATX picked the Saints. This subject has been discussed at length many times over the years. Why someone would pick against the Skins, in a pool of Skins fans, playing only for pride amongst said fans, is beyond me. Even if you did win that one game, you have to know that you are gaining a leg up in the competition by picking the opponent, when everyone else is not going to do that. It's not very sportsmanlike. We call those people Hognosti

it does not change the statement - a REAL fan ALWAYS wants his team to find a way to win
we are still not as good a team as the Saints but we found a way to win that game
I think it's STUPID to bet on games or gamble - I do not give money to bookies
IMO - a person that does not bet on games OR gamble is a LOT LESS likely to be "completely broke" than someone who does
Of course a true fan always wants his team to win. Doesn't mean they will pick them in a pool or a pick em league.
I picked the Skins to lose in the pool, yes. However, when my neighbor (Dallas fan) came to watch I bet 60 bucks on the Skins. If being a true fan means never being objective, well then I'm not sure what to tell you.

as the man said - this is a fan based pool and there is no rule against picking against the Redskins but why would you
maybe he doesn't think that's a big deal - nobody really cares - we all know that he's a hognosti

I could care less about fans giving away money = gambling on sports - that's entirely their deal - just seems stupid to me

I think we should be at least 4-2 going into our first division game
When we play the giants
All thise games are winnable actually
But some of em are trap games that why i say 4-2
But 9-7 i think is the reality wouldnt be suprised if we went 10-6 though
As long as we win the games were supposed to FIRST & always compete

Well, I can certainly foresee 5-11 rather than 7-9 right now.
But hey, win the next game, we're 2-2, and all of a sudden we start imagining that we're an 8-8 team again. Until we look at the schedule for the second half of the season. We needed to win against the Lambs and Bungles in order to have a shot at getting to 8-8.
Right now, I'll settle for RGIII getting out of this season alive, and mentally intact. And then it might be a question of whether Dan Snyder's new found patience can be stretched to a 4th season of the Shanahan project.

this past sunday was filled with teams losing games they clearly should have won
this team has some major defensive issues but we also have an incredible QB that Kyle needs to use differently before he gets hurt
winning 8 games is still doable .. but Mike & the OC + DC have got to make some major adjustments in how they use the players we have

At the overly optimistic end we go 4-2 in the NFC East, 2-2 against the NFC South, 2-2 against the AFC, and 2-0 against the dregs.
We top out at 10-6.
