The Hogster Preseason means nothing, and yes I have watched all of our preseason games. What is wrong with you people..

No. The preseason means a lot. While the play may be very vanilla, the preseason shows that our players are able to beat the man in front of him on both sides of the ball. That practice translates into real games.

If you played sports, you know that scrimmages only help you prepare for when it counts. If you practice good, you play good. That's a RULE.

You guys are in for a reality check when the Redskins are terrible again this year.

No one is saying we're going to be a SB contender and being honest but I think a lot of us will be improved from last year which translates to a better record.

We were terrible last year and somehow won 6 games.....and we beat the SB champs?!??!?!? How can we be any worse?

We had McNabb who couldn't avoid a sack or run the right play for that matter last year. Also, a bottom ranked defense didn't help much either. And keep in mind we didn't really have a running game at all.

I expect much of the same this year but worse. Our offense averaged 18.9 pts per game last year this year I expect around 16 pts per game. I think our defense will improve a little from 31st in the league but still rank near the bottom of the league. I project us to rank 24th.

The RESULTS of the games mean nothing. But, in case you didn't know, the actual bodies inside those jerseys will actually line up during the regular season.

I can understand that Hero but Zorn compared to Shan though, I think Shan will have them level headed while Zorn.. heck, Zorn didn't even know our team colors.

Good point. Shanahan is much more experienced. I am not too worried. I just think it is healthy to have a little bit of worry along with confidence in the team.

I definatley feel this team is far more complete then in years past.

I doubt there's more than 1 or 2 fans here (I think they're part of John's family) that think Beck is going to be great or even very good

I am very knowledgeable about the NFL, I do believe the Redskins will start 0-5. That is what I honestly believe. I am a diehard Redskins fan but I do not let that get in the way of reality and looking at things objectively. Many posters on here are blinded by their love for their Redskins and are unable to admit or accept the reality that this team is terrible again this year.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and while, in your opinion, you're making your prediction based on an objective review of our current team, that's what some of us are also doing. Not sure why you have to come across as being so offended by it. Let it play out. It's pretty simple.

So SkinsJock if that the case about Beck how can fans think we are going to win all these games this year? I just do not understand.

why are you so adamnant about this - nobody is saying that this franchise is that great - and yet you keep making it out like we think so

I will not let up on you because your posts and your position of what is best for this franchise makes no sense

I am so adamant about this because I feel our best chance to become great is to land the #1 pick so we can draft Andrew Luck because he is going to be a franchise changer. I expect Beck to fail miserably, and if and when he does we will be drafting a QB in the first round of the 2012 draft. I do not want to end up another bust like we have in the past with Heath Shuler, Patrick Ramsey and Jason Campbell. I feel that Luck is the closest thing to a lock at the QB position.

Does that help clear up my position?
