c'mon Canes - lighten up and admit it - we're better than last year!

I mean it's plain stupid to keep analyzing all the stupid mistakes like they mean something - we all know we are not very good, but guess what, WE ARE BETTER

get over it :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

8 in one game against the Raiders. It was a weakness last year too.

That's because there's nothing to get. The more the Redskins do and prove the bashers wrong, the more extreme they get to justify their pre-conceived view. It's amazing that none of them now are sitting back and saying wow, maybe more good's going on then I gave credit for. No, the attacks become more vicious and unrelenting instead. With every game the team doesn't give up, or God forbid win, the sharper the knives become. Our faith is blind when it's supported by the performance. Their hatred of the team isn't even when it's not supported by the performance. That's all there is to get, and that's not worth getting.
A lot of fans find it impossible to be objective. The huge homers that see everything through a biased view easily balance out the negative people that would rather the team fit their predetermined mindset, as opposed to playing well.

Right. So basically when we agree we've been bad but still support the team and see the team in mixed terms now and are optimistic that we hope at least we're on the right track. Oh, and we refer to ourselves as...wait for it...fans...of the team. That "balances" people who see nothing good about what we've done, no progress despite our winning more games and going down to the wire in others and reject a new administration that hasn't been in place a year as incompetent and arrogant. Oh, and refer to themselves as...wait for it...fans....of the team. You see that as balance. I have no freaking clue what you're talking about...

The Redskins lead the NFL in games decided by the following: 8 games decided by 3 pts or less lead NFL. They also lead in games decided by less than 5 pts (9), 6 pts (10) and 7 pts (11). That's correct, eleven games decided by seven or fewer points. It's quite impressive we've been in that many games this season.

Did you see some of the arguments I was in earlier. There are literally people on here that cannot see fault. Other people do not want to see us play well. Its almost hard to find an objective opinion.

This post is complete and utter crap. There are:

- Quite a few of us who see significant fault with the team and that we need significant improvement but think we have cleared the low hurdle of being better then last year

- People who aren't sure

- People who lean negative but aren't bashing us

- People who just blindly bash.

There is not a single regular poster on this site or even a visitor I've seen who "cannot see fault." It's just a completely BS post. If you want to try to back up this bilch statement, go to one of the smack threads and name names. You won't be there because you can't back it up. And please, oh please, go to smack and name me as the blind worshiper who "literally cannot see fault." I will take you apart with quotes to the contrary.

We are not better in the fact that we are not out of the media as much as I would like. There are still disfunctional issues with the organization. I hope these will continue to lesson as time goes on, but with the media swirl here, I doubt it EVER will. May just be something that I have to get used to.

We are better in W-L by a good amount.

We are better in division record (which could be the most important).

I feel like our line has made HUGE strides this year. Lichtensteiger may actually be an answer at LG. We have seen the running game and pass pro greatly improved over the second half of the year. The more this unit plays together, the better. Replace Rabach and I think you have a unit that can compete.

I love the youth movement over the last couple weeks. We're finding some players that are stepping up, so in that way, I think we are improved as well. They are evauating and will build a plan around it. Zorn was so afraid on stepping on any vets toes. I look forward to seeing wht these guys can do against the Giants. I really think Riley is going to be a stud in this league, maybe even Jackson as well. Hopefully Barnes. Looks like other teams are doubling AA so he is a legit threat. Torain runs with reckless abandon and couple that with Davis or Williams, or even Portis, I don't mind that backfield. How about Bryant at NT? Finding new younger players is always an improvement.

We are definately not better on defense. we are much worse from a ranking standpoint, but I think this is too soon and unfair to rank an unfinished product yet. Right now, we are much worse on defense, but have laid a foundation to be much better.

Having Bruce and Shanny is a HUGE improvement over the joke that Zorn and Cerrato were. This is not even an argument. Whether you like the guy or not, Shanny is mixing a potion that is interesting to watch. It's not going to be without explotions at times, but I am confident that this guy is going to build something to last a LONG time. People may not like us, like they did with Gibbs, but they sure as hell are going to respect us. Those teams in Denver were always called out for their integrity, but they were damn good for decades. I remember all the cut blocking issues those teams were accused of, or Rominowski spitting in people's faces. Those teams were nasty, and I look forward to getting our swagger back.

Good post. On this statement, while I agree with you it's not entirely in our control. At this point anything we do is just magnified by the lazy and inept media that prefer to take an easy story over working for a real one. We have to focus on that which we can control.
