Remember guys. HEROHAMO started this thread to rally support for the team. He really may or may not have truly meant it.

Yes, I guarantee that the Skins will go all the way to the Superbowl. I also put my rep on the line .

Blind optimism, sure grumpi. Observing to our #4 ranked D we have Hall on the field not Springs off it, a clear run stuffer in Haynesworth and a promising rookie pass rusher. On O our OL is looking a lot healthier and we got Dockery back. At receiver our rookies are looking improved and we have ARE back in a role he's more comfortable with and that was clear in the first game. If JC improved is in question, but he's not worse. But that's just "blind optimism."

You have running around screaming like your hair's on fire the sky is falling and nothing's improved. Yes, you have destroyed my argument by hyperventilating. I'm humbled.

Circles! I love it. OK, I'll go another round. You said you were comparing the teams, not just this year versus last year's Giant's game. I compared the teams, then you want to this year's versus last year's Giant's game. I've given you a list of differences and you can't decide which you're arguing, the team (which you keep ignoring) or the game in (where we scored 10 more points). Now we have the Rams where last year we lost ugly and this year we won ugly. So if you're arguing the team, you should address my comparison. If you want to focus on the games, why are we 2 for 2 in doing "better" then last year?

Believe me guys If I really did not think this team was good I would say so.

The reason I made this guarantee is because I actually do see a good team.
This defense just held a team to 7 points. Major plus.
The offense had a time of possession of 34 minutes. Major plus.
While the offense went 0-5 in the red zone. The key is we were in the red zone 5 times! JC went 25-35 for 242 yards. Not bad at all.
Yes the offense needs to convert in the red zone. But, they are not that far off from doing that. A few minor adjustments could have turned that game into a blowout. We have the luxury of a good defense for now until the offense gets it going.

So the offense was effective in moving the ball. Few minor tweaks in the playcalling and this offense is putting up major points.

A red zone package that includes Malcom Kelly, Devin Thomas, Chris Cooley, Fred Davis and Sellers. Big targets to throw to. If we need a yard hand it off to either Portis or Sellers Jumbo package.

JC is close. So yes the offense is a work in progress. What I see is that JC is not far off. All he has to do now is just fire the ball in to that small window. We are close I can feel it. HTTR

Not going to give up yet.

Still the same issue. The offense needs to step up. I am still hoping they do.

We just need the offense to get going. Maybe a trade for a big time receiver can do the trick? Somehow this offense needs to be shaken up.

Another issue is why are we not using the young receivers we drafted?

For goodness sake! Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly had only one reception.

Still we are 1-2.

I called for an 11-5 season. I am sticking to it. Still hope in DC.

Anyhow how much worse can it get? We already lost to the Lions. Oh well just move on from here. :D

You are an inspiration, my friend. Our Wolverines stepped it up, why not the Skins? So I'm in. The Skins will make the playoffs, our D is going to start shutting people down, and JC is going to the pro-bowl, we'll re-sign him to be our franchise quarterback and he's going to the HOF! It all starts next week against Tampa. Rock on!

You don't play though. You have no say in it. Too bad. The fans seem to want it more than the players.

Wolverines have stepped it up. Rodriguez did show heart and leadership in that press conference. Seems to have lit a fire in the Wolverines.

As far as the Skins go. Can it really get any worse? Sure it can. But, I do think that the worst has happened already. I really hope so.

Now we just need the team to pull it together. HTTR

The dream still lives on.

Yes we have some glaring weaknesses. We have all touched on the aging offensive line or aged. Anyhow this season JC is going to have to carry the team. The burden is mostly on his shoulders.

I hope he realizes this is his oppurtunity to shine. Even with an aged offensive line he has to make it a good season. Those are the cards that he is dealt. So I say deal with it JC. You can do it.

I just want to see improvement every week. I think I did see that. Yes there were some bone head mistakes but oh well. It is part of the learning process. Lets go baby kick it up a notch next week!

Now we have help from Sherman Williams. I do not see Snyder thinking up something like this. I have a feeling Zorn thought about this.

HEROHAMO wrote:Jason Campbell will lead this team to the playoffs.
Yesterday we all seen Jason Campbell make a couple huge mistakes. All on this board know that I was not a huge JC supporter either. However I did see what I needed to see out of JC.
There were many moments in which I saw JC make nice crisp reads and quick throws. In fact the drive in which he made the interception he was driving the team down the field and had them in position to get at least a field goal. The fumble he had he should have stepped up in the pocket. That can be watched on film which they are doing at this moment.
So the mistakes he made can be fixed with a few minor adjustments. So what I needed to see from him I seen.

The scheduele we have is also favorable. So this is the way I see it playing out this season. The first half of the scheduele will serve as games for JC to build confidence. Setting up the second half of the scheduele for our tougher opponents. By the time the second half comes around JC will be ready.

JC will lead us to an 11-5 record. Making a bid for the wild card or maybe even the division. I am putting my rep on the line. Here we go. Lets go baby! Wooo!

Yeah dont see it happening. Weve played like trash and every team other then NY cause it was the first game has been winless. WINLESS!!! If we keep this up we will see how bad we really are when we play the good teams.

The bad news is that we have not played very well together or anywhere close to as well as they are capable of in my opinion

The good news is that they can only get better :)

like a broken record - this is not a bad team and while I'm not thinking we can win even 8 games this season based on what we have seen I am hoping that this team will play to their capabilities and at least look like a NFL team over the next 11 games

we all know that we are going to see a lot of changes here but it would be really good for all of us if some of the younger members of the team could give us something to look forward to as we begin to put a team back together here :)

we need this win this week but more importantly we need to start playing better together - speaking for myself, I can handle the losses, I do not mind losing a game if we play well, I just don't like the way the team is playing

 can you believe this schedule - I mean, we have played badly (even terribly at times) and we are still only 2-3 - after this game we might be 3-3 and if we could have just held on last week we could be 4-2
