It may be another one of those seasons for the Pats. The only way to stop them is to punch them in the mouth, and the team with such a defense that could accomplish such a feat, would be the Giants.

DT looks pretty good as the return man. Very quick.

That cushion is, apparently, a standard part of Blatche's defensive approach.
Poor Justin Tryon. He can't cover R Moss either.
But how many teams have a Randy Moss?
No. That coverage is the result of not having your best cover guy availible.

More like "Skins passrush in true form". Pretty embarrassing there.

Running game is looking a little anemic so far.

I'm not totally wrapping my head around the concept that Carlos Rogers is this team's best cover guy.

Good defense for the Pats. They look ready for the season.

Betts is no Portis in the blocking department.

And not that CR's has the talent to cover such an elite WR as Moss.

You'll get over it. He may have hands of stone, but he can cover.

I thought we were mean't to have a D that could get the ball back and stop teams when we needed to

Greg Blache played his corners backl last year and he'll play them back this year. The only hope is that he'll be fired before next year

You do have to consider the caliber of team they're playing tonight.
This is a top-five team here .... with a QB who will exploit the one thing the defense is giving up on any given play.

Anyone wonder why we don't ever have a receiver that wide open?

You're probably wasting your breath.

are you suggesting that we can only play good D against the bad teams

Pats are just toying with the Skins now. They are not even in the same league.

It seems to work we had the number 4 rank defense in the league last year.

this is not good
these guys are giving the pats all sorts of room to run and the passing D is woeful

Big Al is being double-teamed on almost every play and so far is not a factor.

That was a nice demonstration of containment by Orakpo.
