The Post isn't interested in being a cheerleader for the team and I can promise when things start going well for the Redskins they'll start reporting what's positive. You can either get your news from the Post where they have access and subjective insight or you can get your news from Larry Michael where he takes you deep inside Redskins Park to show how the team chef makes sloppy joe's.
Not what you meant, but too true.

Reporters have been trying to make something of the Jay Cutler situation, and Campbell hasn't given them the outrage they are so desperately looking for.
They wanted him to be just like Jay Cutler. Throw a temper tantrum and demand a trade.
He isn't playing fair. He was totally okay with the Cutler trade possibility. That hasn't sat right with the local media. They want outrage, they want drama, and they are going to get it come hell or high water...even if they have to make it up.
So now, they've stopped quoting Campbell altogether and have turned to the ol' reliable "unnamed source." You can say anything you want with an "unnamed source" and not have to worry about having any accountability for what's said. You didn't say it, the "unnamed source" did. If it turns out to not be true, it's automatically forgiven because you can't be held accountable for what you were "told." You don't have to divulge your sources, so Mike Wise can use Jason LaCanfora as his "unnamed source close to the Redskins" and he's not really lying.
They want us to believe that Campbell is hiding in his locker, sobbing his eyes out 'cuz Pappa Snyder doesn't love him enough.
If you watched the interviews with Campbell by Kelly Johnson, even he recognizes he has to step it up, and that if the Redskins are looking for a new QB it's because he hasn't given them a reason to believe in him.
But no, let's all ignore what Campbell actually says because we know he's lying (because Snyder will use his secret "Owner Powers" to destroy Campbell if he tells us 'the real truth'), and lets all trust everything the Washington Post says because their "unnamed sources" are the real deal!

Bob while I agree with everthing you said...I'd add that JC does not have the leverage Cutler had. IMO Cutler agent used the situation to get his client a new contract. If Jason demanded a trade there wouldn't be the frenzy like there was for Cutler....So the best thing for Jason to do is what he's doing, IMO this is what Jason would do either way he's a good kid. He and his agent know a big year this year=$$$$

...and because the Washington Post is the hometown paper for the hometown team, the entire rest of the sporting media world latches on to what the Post says as gospel, when we all know the Post has a predetermined agenda of ridiculing the team at all costs.
Did anyone catch SportsCenter this moring? ESPN reported that... "The Redskins are still looking to solve their quarterback problems by signing Chase Daniel to a two-year free agent contract"

Yes, yes... I'm quite sure the Skins are looking at Chase as the savior to give Campbell a run for the starting QB position this year or even the next. Especially since run-and-shoot QB's translate so well to the NFL.

Of course he doesn't. That's why I was skeptical of this "report" from the moment I'd heard about it.
It seemed contrary to what he had been saying, and didn't make any sense at all. He would have to know that his job is more secure than aging veteran journayman back-up QB Todd Collins'.
And just like Freak pointed out, it started with a blog, and before the draft started it was being regurgitated by ESPN without a single credible source!

I know, I'm just tired of hearing about it. Supposedly Jason didn't say he wanted out if they got Sanchez. I just want some touchdowns.

exactly -

hopefully all the things we need to happen with the offense will work out this season and Campbell will play really well and show the promise that we have been looking for. He's still not ever going to be a good enough QB and we'll need a good QB (which I think Campbell can be) until the next future great Washington Redskins QB gets on the field behind a new incredibly strong Redskins' offensive line.
The worst thing would be to not have a decent QB behind a make-shift line next year because I doubt that anyone except maybe Samuels (for 1 more year) will be worth much - we have to replace a lot of these guys and should have taken the best offensive lineman available IMHO even though BO was a great addition for the defense

I'm sure Jason is too.
