On the show NFC Playbook on the NFLN, Sterling Sharpe picked us to win while Brian Baldinger said our offense would come to a complete halt. Props to Sterling on picking the Skins, even when the others gave him a hard time about it.
And by the way, Mark Schlereth picked Philly to win Friday on NFL Live, I saw it, so I'm not sure why he was listed as picking the Skins.

Stink picked us on the "expert" picksheet.

He's just trying to have it both ways.

I disagree. I think the gameplan was to come out throwing. Jason was on his back for 3/5 of his first pass attempts. It wasn't until then that Zorn made alterations to smack them back in the mouth.
Either way we're both arriving to the same conclusion that Zorn is a good HC. You say he planned for it, I say he adjusted to it, either way it was awesome.
According to Zorn, the stayed with their original game plan in spite of falling behind early.
What impresses me is our ability to run that well against the #1 run defense. And I think I know why.
The Eagles have been watching how well Campbell has been making those down field plays, especially to Moss, over the past 3 weeks. (Moss, the Cowboy killer). So they decided to take the long ball out of play and play 2 deep. With that commitment, they're a man short at the point of attack when defending a spread formation, and the Eagles aren't used to defending a Redskin team that runs from the spread. They also can't capitalize on all of the blitzing they like to do when the offense executes short, quick passing. All the while, the LB's have to respect play action and cannot over commit to stop the run without leaving the intermediate space 10 yards out wide open with two Safeties playing deep. It's a difficult scheme to defend when you have a back like Portis, and threats like Moss, CC and ARE.
The two things that make all of this work is 1) Campbell making the plays, and 2) Zorn not becoming predictable with play calling.
Both Campbell and Zorn are working this beyond the most optimistic expectations, and I believe they're just going to get better as the season progresses. And I think the team feels that way too.
This is not the same team the Giants played in week 1, and them boys have something coming to them next time.
This is the first time in years that we've seen the defense and offense play well at the same time.
