Everyone but these guys:
FB Fred Beasley
WR Corey Bradford
RB Dee Brown
DB Ade Jimoh
DB Omar Stoutmire
OL Taylor Whitley
DE Renaldo Wynn
Not real sure about DT Matthias Askew but I think he's been in the league too long to make the PS

Yes, I know we're discussing a 52-man roster with the potential for an additional signing, but I've heard nothing specific about a "transaction in the works". That suggests they are already in contract negotiations with someone.

Who are our backupd at DL now? Weren't we thin there BEFORE Big Joe and Wynn were released? Lets hold our breath and hope the starting DL goes the whole season without an injury.

I'm sure, as in the case for lemar marshall, we could have released someone else instead of renaldo wynn... extremely disappointed he and ade were let go. I was also a little disappointed in the release of stoutmire, I was kinda happy to get him back. I wish westbrook played better against jacksonville.
on a HAPPIER note, I'm very happy with the skins keeping mason, I knew as soon as the end of the titans game that he had a decent chance and i've been hyping him up all preseason, as well as blades. AND the cooley resigning? i'm so relieved this was done prior to the season. I watched the cooley interview on redskins.com and it just feels so good to know that he truly does not want to be anywhere else but here.
As for palmer, I didnt think he had much of a chance BEFORE we played him, but I'm glad we could at least watch what he could('nt) do.

1 thing I find odd is that of the 4 reserve OL's, only 1 plays inside, the other 3 are tackles.

Anyone else surprised that we only kept 4 receivers?

No, we still have one more roster spot.

I think they got it just about right. The defensive backfield looks really strong, with players who know the system and plenty of starting experience amongst even the back-ups. In fact, I like the whole defensive roster. We'd all like pro bowlers all the way along the line, but they might just have unearthed a couple of good role players in Wilson and Armstrong.
I'm predicting we'll back to a top five defence this year.
One more wide receiver to come for sure, and I'm sure there are plenty around here who hope that we bring in somebody over 6 feet tall. I just hope they get somebody who will push Randle El and Lloyd into upping their game this year.
As yupchagee said, the balance of reserves on the o-line looks a little strange - very little cover for the interior, whilst the tackle positions seem overstocked. I thought somebody like Ross Tucker might have stuck around, but he went a while ago. Maybe they still think that Wade can help out there if needed, and I guess Fabini might be a factor too?
If the line works well, those running backs are going to move the ball. Let's hope that Portis is 100%.
Special teams were a lock weeks ago, so no surprises there. Although, I had a strange dream that we'd cut Frost, without even bothering to sign another punter. I'm seeking appropriate medical help.

Az;Zahir Hakin has already been successful as a slot receiver in this system. He would make a good fourth or fifth.

There is not a single person on that list, that isn't a starter, that I would want to be a starter. This just makes a certain sphincter muscle constrict. Just pray for no injuries with the starting unit!
Four WRs, gives me the same feeling. Hopefully Hoag is signed to the practice squad. I'm sure the team might be looking at the waiver wire fir help at WR!

it looks like the skins are trying to go younger... keeping fox and doughty over stoutmire. then the people on the DL. looks like they are finally trying to build our talent instead of just signing top tier FA

I hope Westbrook and Palmer end up in the practice squad. The extra roster spot may go to a WR or a DT.
I still feel that it is -VERY- unlikely that Brunell might be traded by Joe due to cap and experience factors but it is not impossible. This would open up another roster spot for a QB. But I feel that Brunell stays.

What about Moses DE cut by the Raiders for the spare roster place ? - apparently he was a 3rd Rnd first pick this year - admittedly I`m in the Uk and haven`t seen him, Anybody think theres any mileage in him ? ( obviously not the Raiders). I think its probably a moot point anyway as with only 4 WRs on the roster and a free space I think we must have a WR move happening.

Darius is a great player why did they release him? He'd be an excellent addition if we weren't soo deep at safety right now. If we can't resign Sean Taylor...well let's not even go there, we must sign Sean Taylor.
