There is no conspiracy against Monk, per se. He wasn't very good at addressing the media, nor was he the Irvin "Look-at-me" type that stands out in the minds of those who ultimately do the selecting..
Sadly, there's no Hall of Fame for those who just approached the game as their job, their responsibility.
If there were, Monk would be featured as the player all should aspire to be.

HAHAHHAHA, this man means business. He dissapeared for 10 years and comes right back where he left off at. Im sorry, TC's my homey, I'll stop because I have nothing to add to this topic!!

Conspiracy? The word has been misused on so many levels that I do not use it, even if two or three Sports Illustrated people may fall into that category. No, I suspect that it is a pride thing. Some of the voters have staken their "reputations" against the induction of Art Monk.

Our demise after the departure of Joe Gibbs a decade ago hurt the chances of several players, particularly Art Monk. Danny Snyder is not the most loved owner by some members of the media, which does not help much either.

The only thing you can get out some of the voters mouths who oppose Art is:

"Art Monk was very good, not just HOF material".

This is nonsense of course. All they have to do is to compare his numbers and quality of game against others -already- in the HOF.

There is really no excuse other than wrong-placed selfish pride by some media people. I expect this to change as Joe brings the team back to glory.
