Defense played good....as usual..

Post by spudstr04 »

The only part of the game that we can say was a plus was the defense......we played good, gave up some pass yardage, but other than that....3 Ints, 1 sack, Fumbles....they were good...if it weren't for the offensive mistakes we would have one big time.....

The defense is money, they are very consistent.

I agree about the defense, and what fighter Smoot is... I'd go to battle with him any day... the Offense still puzzles me... how is it that we "upgraded" the Offense with a veteran QB and an all world running back, and Gibbs' Offense is worse than Spurier's in every single statistical category except we're running for an extra 10 yards a game? And last year's Offense was terrible?

I know I'm alone on this but I don't think they played that well. The got help when when Driver drooped the TD pass the corners got torched in the first half. No pass rush except when we blitz. To many penalties. OK I'll stop there

Its true, the D did give up some yards, but come on they were on the field all day. It also doesn't help when our safties are very young and inexperinced...
This is the first time in a while, I actually enjoy watching our D, and have faith in them that they will stop anyone that they face...
Pete Kendall is a MAN and a half..
