Whether there is a "Cowboy bias" or not, I couldn't say. I just don't follow. I think Hayes ought to be in there. A good friend of mine brought up the point that one would be hard pressed to find another great WR who was also an Olympic Medalist.
As for the other thing, in no way, shape or form was I comparing severity of injuries. All I'm saying is, he broke his arm, and held on to the ball. The pain must've been considerable. He wasn't an Eagle, in his heart. He could've saved himself for another year of your so-called "padding". He did not. He'd been playing on that same field, for 13 years, as an opponent. He knew what would happen if he landed the way he did.
