Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reports Oakland Raiders DE Shawn Johnson could be released.
If the Raiders release this kid, it's because they are so deep on the defensive line.
Shawn Johnson was an absolute stud last year for the University of Delaware (I-AA National Champions), Rich Gannon's college team.
He has the heart and work ethic of a James Thrash type of player. If/when he is released, I hope the Skins can find a way to make room for him...and sign him immediately.

What are some of his intangibles? Is he a big guy? Fast guy? Pass rusher? Run stopper? or the real deal?
Never heard of him and was wondering what to expect if we get ahold of him.

Not the biggest guy...but he plays big. Very fast. Plays well against the run and was a very good pass rusher. This is a kid that may take a little time ....but he'll be worth it in the long run.
