I'm so hyped about that, man. One of the things I've hated about this team over the past few years has been the unwillingness to groom and invest in these players we've drafted. This is a welcome change.

Accountability - it's really been missing here - you play well, you are rewarded
this is what this franchise needs to keep doing - the culture here is changing and the players will respond
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Most of those players were drafted by Bruce Allen. Is he better at scouting than we gave him credit for being? Murphy, Moses, Long, Breeland, Grant. McCloughan gets credit for Scherff, Smith, Jones, Crowder.

How about Kyshoen Jarrett a SIXTH ROUND pick for SM?
Not quite ready to give Allen a ton of credit myself.

No, I think it was the scouting department we let walk away (Morocco Brown) and Scott Campbell who were largely responsible for those picks. At the time I was pissed they let Brown get away but that was before we knew they were signing Scot McCloughan. He's only had ONE draft. I have to keep reminding myself of that because he's changed a lot in ONE draft and ONE free agency period.

To me - the most important thing that Scot has done has nothing to do with the players he's brought in, although they are a good thing ... I love the new attitude and I think it began with benching Griffin - everyone here, coaches and players, knows they have to earn the right to both play and stay at the end of this season
going to be interesting to see who steps up and shows they should be brought back in 2016 ... very interesting - some might even say that those that aren't even playing (because of injury or whatever) might be better off ...
