I'm all for Cousins proving that he can get it done - the main reason that Griffin is still here is that there are some that doubt that he can

Why Cousins got the nod over Colt McCoy would make a good story that I would be interested in reading but unless you wear RGIII undies it is obvious Robert can't handle the analysis and mental aspects of a WCO despite all the effort to help him. Griffin is still on the Skins roster because no other team is willing to give draft pick or a roster player for him.

The article says what we all know. Griffin is not best suited in a west coast offense. Good job sherlock holmes. That just goes to prove even more that Gruden is not a creative coach.

Gruden was brought to Washington with the task of coaching Robert up. It did not have to be with the west coast offense. You do what it takes to get the job done. Robert proved he can take us to the playoffs which is why we hired a coach to help us get him back to success.

Snyder did not hire him and give him a choice of which QBs he could start. It was under the premise of coach Robert up!!!!

Now we realize Gruden was never up to the task he switched starting QBs.

Kyle Shanahan designed an offense specifically to match Griffins skills. That was innovative and worked. Until Robert got hurt.

Gruden did not have to run the same offense Kyle ran. But he could have tweeked a bit and have it look similar to what Marcus Marriota is running with the Titans.

I tell you this much. Marcus looks a whole lot better then our Kirk Cousins. With less talent.

A great coach can take whatever talent he has and design an offense and plays for the talent.
There was never a mystery about what Griffin was. It was clear as day when Gruden took the job.


Who runs the west coast offense better its surely Kirk.


But I guarantee this much. When Griffin is healthy and running a system that fits his talents. We would have more success. Thats the bottom line.

We literally have to build a SuperBowl talent laded team around Kirk for us to win. While Griffin has the capability of carrying the whole team on his back.

This is far more important then the topic. So Im going to go off topic of the thread.

We need to keep running the ball. We have to run the ball fifty times a game. Unless we are down by three TDs or more.

There is no reason why Kirk should be throwing the ball excessively. Hes a young QB and we need to protect him. We have two very capable running backs and have had success running the ball.


Its that simple. If this bonehead coach cant see that he needs to be fired.

you're wrong, again Griffin is still on the roster because there are some here that are not convinced that he cannot play QB in the NFL and that maybe Jay Gruden did not live up to his assurances & promises that he could help Griffin be a better QB ...

there are many fans here that want Griffin to be out of here so that he doesn't get a chance to show Gruden that he can play QB in the NFL
