Well he did go do work with Jon. I dont see why its getting blown up though. If im a 2nd string QB trying to work my way to #1 and get better... what better way to do it than go to my head coaches highly regarded big brother's qb camp? Show him some good QB play and a desire to improve, and hope that it becomes dinner table conversation the next time they get together.

Great plan by Cousins IMO.

Why announce this now? Shut people up about who is starting QB, itll release pressure off both the QBs, at the expense of putting more on Gruden. Plus, if you listen to the press conference, the context is more of a "we ended the season with Griffin as starter so its still his going into Camp. He in no way implies that Griffin is the Skins starting QB in 2015.

I still think that this 'contact' with Jon Gruden by Cousins has been played up a lot more than is reality

I like that Cousins might be looking for any help he can get but this 'report' IMO is trying to make out like it's a bigger deal than it really is
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Shanahan's, post Elway, track record with QBs is spotty at best. If he thinks a quarterback will be good then its pretty much the kiss of death for the poor sod.

Cousins needs to work during this off season so if his coach's brother runs a respected QB camp why not workout there? I think Jon would be highly motivated to help his kid brother's QB and yes, positive progress reports flowing to Jay couldn't hurt. Maybe Jay Gruden recommend Jon's camp to Cousins.

Who could blame Cousins for hoping for a trade but I don't it happens, the Skins want him in case Griffin gets hurt again.

As I heard it ... Cousins & Gruden happened to be in the same area - he was not there for a Gruden 'camp' or specialized coaching

Where did you hear that?

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach and ESPN “Monday Night Football” analyst Jon Gruden will again be a volunteer coach at Carrollwood Day School this spring, CDS head football coach Lane McLaughlin said.

McLaughlin said Gruden was at the school Wednesday leading drills with the high school players and Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins, former Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman and Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris.

Doesn't sound like they just bumped into each other in Tampa.

Cousins is not there solely to be helped and coached by Jon Gruden .. Cousins is there to help out

the 'reports' are implying that this is some sort of 'special deal' to help Cousins ... I'm just saying it's a little blown out of proportion

really - I'm just peeved that Griffin wasn't able to be there too ...

how can we have an equal playing field in this QB competition when Cousins is getting specialized coaching from the HC's brother ...
