As I watched Mike Bass show the proper way to tackle Calvin Hill, and then the all-time awesome Ken Houston demonstrate that the way to stop bull-rider Walt Garrison (linked by CT), I stumbled across an interview with Sam Huff and Chris Hanburger. Yes, Sam has done a lot more than chat with Sonny during Redskin games (and Hanburger is more than the name of a veteran Hogs Net member...but that's for another time).
Sam Huff was an all-pro middle linebacker, and this documentary made Sam a famous all-pro. It's well worth watching...more than 50 years after it was made. Yes, that's Walter Cronkheite narrating. Many of these Giants were big names to kids who followed pro-football. The Giants' QB is Charlie Connerly, genuinely gray-haired, number 42. Frank Gifford is number 16.
Around Huff are Andy Robustelli, all-pro DE, Dick Modjelewski ("Litttle Mo" from the Universty of Maryland) singing in Polish, Rosey Grier, Jimmy Patton (all-pro safety). Head coach is Jim Lee Howell, one of the coaches who invented modern football. Howell's Giant defense and George Allen's Bears defense were two of the first to design and call defensive plays.

Re: The Violent World of Sam Huff
Thanks for this Welch (and CT), I'm looking forward to seeing it!
I saw a few clips of Huff, what a total monster he was.
