The 2014 injury bug woes- focus on secondary

Post by cowboykillerzRGiii »

Man it seems like we cant catch a damn break! We know-how banged up we were after the Philly game.. Bobs injury game two.. and Reeds injury PLAY two..
as some are coming back others are going down.

Breeland- after a coming out party vs Dez and looking like our young dbs were coming into their own... Breeland Island twerks his knee in practice on Friday. Doesnt appear to be serious by reports, an mri was scheduled (and likely done by now) and his status for tomorrow is questionable.

Hall- one of the biggest losses to a depleated back field this year. It was utterly dissapointing and my heart dropped as he did, knowing he could be the difference in close games. Achilles injuries are no joke, and oft times spell the end of ones career in the NFL. He had the surgery and all we can do is wait and see.
Whats worse then exploding your Achilles and having surgery??? Blowing it out again!!! OMG I feel for D hall! The report is that he slipped while making pizza (not sure how accurate that is) and blew up the tendon again.. Now he will undergo another surgery. I for one wont hold my breath on our best cb ever lacing them up again- at least in the B&G.. I remain hopefull but Deangelo isnt getting younger. Ive spent a lot if words defending Hall and celebrating his play, particularly the two shut down games vs Dez in 2012, his more points then the O in first half of games through what ever week last season... damn get well soon Hall!!

Inhenacho- guy played all of what 3 snaps? Out for the year? I had some hopes that hed be a solid pick up this season...

P Thomas- after missing his rookie year he bounced back strong with a Solid camp just to get hurt again. Report is he just was signed to the roster- and I hope he can establish a name for himself like Breeland did.

This woes are a small sample of what weve had.. starting qb starting te... both should be playing tomorrow, I just pray (win or lose) that we have a clean injury report after the game.

Sometimes I think athletes today are in too good of shape and cause some injuries. Like pec tears for example.

Tracy Porter- was signed to push Amerson and/or fill nickel duties and complete our secondary. Porter has done good things and in big games ie superbowl for saints.
I was hoepfull hed contribute but his off season shiulder surgery excluded him from camp and i believe his hammy was acting up. Watever the reason he only made it on to the field vs nyg during the brutal beat down. He is cleared to play as of now and with Breeland tweaking his knee I hope Porter shows up big vs the rookie Qb and can help our ailing secondary. .

I know Hall and Rak are key players, but honestly the Redskins are one of the healthiest teams in the league right now comparatively.

I know Meriweather is a bit of a liability in the pass coverage but if he is there at the start of the year, not playing to not get thrown out, he is a difference maker. It's more than just Robert,Rak, Hall, Barry Cofield.... on and on.... Chris Neild even. Like CT is harpen about. He really does have the body and skills to do it, but he is always injured and when he does play we only see glimpses.
