Sidney Rice - To be released by SEA

He's coming off of an ACL and hasn't been very healthy since 2011. I'd pick him up and draft a talent. He'd be the #2 guy here, with less stress and need for him to be "the guy". He's 6'4 and the redzone target we've needed since forever. Due to his past injuries and current rehab, he should come very cheap. A short deal. He'd be an instant upgrade for us, which sadly says a lot.

Garcon, Rice, Reed. That's a decent trio.

I'd do this in a second!

Additional info. Looks like he has bad knee's. Well, lol he and Robert can help each other. I'd still sign him and draft a kid.

He was released about an hour ago today. Like you said Chris, he's damaged goods, but if we get him for cheap, I'd love this!!

Plus if we draft a true #2 WR that can start right away (less common for the WR position), he would be an amazing #3 at worst. This would take a lot of pressure off of him, and reduce the chances of him getting injured. Could even be just a red zone specialist until he proves his durability.

Seems like a low-risk move with the potential to pay off big for us. It's also a good situation for Rice: limited snaps and the chance to prove his value again.

seemed like a good idea .... at the time
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
