Defense end Jevon Kearse reportedly was carted off the practice field Monday morning at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp at Lehigh University's Goodman campus.
Kearse, the former Tennessee Titans' standout who is expected to key the Eagles passrush this season, apparently sustained a left ankle sprain, according to the Eagles web site. He was taken for X-rays on the ankle.
According to a reporter at camp Kearse was walking off the field on his own when the cart came by with another player in the back, so he hopped on for the ride.
I got your number. I steal your thunder. I got your mother's maiden name tattooed on my arm.
Seeing him smiling like that has me believing that the injury is nothing, but since he is so valuable to the franchise they're taking him out just to make sure. So he'll get a day or two off of training camp then get back in it full swing.
Has he asked to be moved to the other side of the field yet?
RIP 21
