I figured Morris might get the shaft. He should have made it; 3rd in the NFC in rushing and they take there backs from each conference.capitaldefense wrote:Zo, RG3 and Trent made it

Gore made it solely on name over Morris. Alf had a much better year! Alf was definitely snubbed!ACW wrote:I understand AD and Lynch, but Gore???skinsfan#33 wrote:I figured Morris might get the shaft. Written had a better year than Graham! He set an NFL record for Pete's sake!
Too many of Dez' yards came last week. If he had had that performance two weeks ago he might have gone over Cruz.

Congratulations to all the players who made it
but ... let's get real
how much credibility does this really have when Tom Brady in his prime was not selected
get back to me with a rational explanation for that .. if you can
how can a player that has played as well as London Fletcher has for his entire career and only gets a few selections to the Pro Bowl
I'll be waiting ...

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Rogers and Ryan are obvious locks in the NFC. After that, someone had to sit home. I'm glad it wasn't RGIII this time, though I'm worried that Wilson will steal his ROTY award on the strength of the last month (as opposed to the whole season, where RGIII has clearly been superior).Bob 0119 wrote:Curiously absent from Pro-Bowl nominations...
Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Doug Martin
Aren't these guys up for Rookie of the year or something?
Hard to see the argument for Doug Martin making it over Morris, who was also left out.
Andrew Luck is riding his reputation a bit, IMO. He hasn't been as sharp in the last couple of months as he was early in the year. He has his 4th quarter comebacks but what people forget is that it's Luck who is usually digging the hole he later climbs out of.
I don't think that's curious at all. The guy has ok numbers for a rookie, but he's not tops in the AFC. Manning, Brady, and Schaub deserve it more.Bob 0119 wrote:Curiously absent from Pro-Bowl nominations...
Andrew Luck

That's great news. Can't deny there is a lot of hype around RGIII this year, but I don't think anyone can argue that he's not deserving of the selection.

So are you saying that after half a season the league might have figured out his "gimmicky college offense" and that maybe he "can't read defenses"Irn-Bru wrote:Rogers and Ryan are obvious locks in the NFC. The Pro Bowl selection is great recognition but the selection process is greatly flawed IMO
a few years ago Tom Brady was not selected - that was a travesty
BUT
London Fletcher has certainly played well enough in his many seasons to get selected more than a couple of times, IF that, I know he was selected once
my request was more to see if anyone can explain those obvious snubs ...
and
this year's snub of Alfred Morris and London Fletcher makes this whole thing a joke

Andrew Luck - Can you seriously argue that at this point in time he's better than the three who made it? I had the same curiosity when I read Griffin was the only rookie QB, but no way I put Luck this year above Manning, Brady or Shaub.Bob 0119 wrote:Curiously absent from Pro-Bowl nominations...
Russell Wilson - Ditto, the only candidate for him to replace would have been Griffin and no way do I put Wilson over Griffin.
Doug Martin - Peterson and Lynch, sure. But I'm with you on this one. I'd have put either Martin or Morris in before Gore.
Hail to the Redskins!
