Fedex Field seating advice
New to the area and probably going to 'Skins v. Vikes on 10/14. I only go to about one NFL game per year, so I usually splurge on decent seats. Does anyone that has been there have a strong opinion on seat quality? At first glance, I am looking between the 20s and trying to decide between middle of the lower bowl vs. front of the club level. Any input is appreciated on these or other seats.
Thanks!

Either of those are nice. It really depends on how far above the action you like to be. middle of the lower bowl would be my preference, not only are you closer to the action, but you are high enough to see all the players across the field.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning toward the lower bowl as well, but the club level amenities sound worth being a bit higher up. So anyone who regularly sits in the club level should chime in! In all honesty, I think it will come down to where I feel like I am getting the best deal on secondary market tickets.
Oh, also, anyone with lower bowl experience, how high up would you recommend getting to get a decent view? SeatData dot com does not really give great photos. I know enough not to buy the "Dream Seats" in the first couple rows that will get obstructed by sideline traffic, but just curious how high to go...
Thanks again!

To me, the best seats in the house are the 50 yard line 200 level Rows 1-10. The 30 yard line at that level is OK, but the sight line is not so good when the ball is on the opposite end of the field.
Lower Bowl: I have sat on the 50 on the 18th row and it was fun being close to the action, but I prefer to see the entire field and still be able to see the players. I have sat in the last row of the lower bowl on the 50, but the sight lines, though good, they aren't great. the higher seats in the lower bowl slant away from the field compromising the sight lines. I have sat on the seond row behing the visitors bench. If you have never done this, it is a lot of fun, but you won't see the game except on the Jumbotron. I enjoyed talking with the opposing players.
Joe Gibbs Club Level! Best sight lines in the house. The lower the row the better. Plus the amenities. I almost always go Clubbing at FedEx.
The 400's Rows 1-3, to me are the poor man's Club Seats. I love those. The sight lines are very good and I don't see a lot of difference in the 400s row 1 with Club level row 19. Of course, you are without the club amenities, but you won't have to pay as much.
Summary: Got the Cash, go Club Level and get the best seat in available. It will make your trip all the more enjoyable when we beat the Vikes!

Dream seats aren't bad from the end zones if you can get a good price. Free sodas, hotdogs, peanuts and cookies as much as you like.
Even if you don't get perfect seats, the new jumbotrons can help too.

I appreciate the feedback and have a couple more questions for anyone to chime in:
1. How far up the lower bowl do you need to be to be covered up in the event of rain?
2. How painful is it to take the metro there? I live right along the Blue Line that goes out to the stadium, but it is hard to tell how much of a walk I am looking at just by looking at the map...
Thanks again and good luck this weekend!

Blue line?! I don't know what you are talking about. What you want is the Red Line to Shady Grove. Yess'r.kfech wrote:2. How painful is it to take the metro there? I wish I had some advice to share with you. The only thing I'd have to say is that if you like actually watching the game, you should avoid the "Dream Seats." But it sounds like you are already homing in on the best place to take it all in. Best of luck on your search, and I can say with all sincerity that I hope you have a terrible time watching the game!

The lower bowl is not under cover. Can't remember the last row in the lover bowl, but you might get shielded from the rain there depending on the slant of the rain.
Legitimate covered seats in the 200 level are from 10 - 14 (this is a guess, but I know that I am close). I say legit because these were original seats of the stadium. Snyder added about 5,000 seats undercover, but they are limited view to obstructed view. You cannot see the punts in the air or the scoreboard from these seats, but they do have TV monitors fofr replays. I had season tix on the 45 yd line in sec 221 Row 21, years ago and they were very good except I think that one misses out on the total game experience of hearing that "Hail to the Redskins!" song echoing throughout the stadium as the Skins score mulitple TDs on their opponents.![]()
My advice - stay away from the covered seats that Synder added. Get wet - there is nothing like watching football in the rain - total game experience!
Club level - the last row of the club level row 19 are slightly covered - go for these.
About a 15 minute walk from Garrett Morgan Boulevard Station. It seems longer on the way back when your team loses, though.2. How painful is it to take the metro there? Thanks Ken, we will need it. We seem to do better away than we do home, so am feeling good about beating T.B.
We have the Vikes at home? Don't even think it - the Vikes aren't beating us three years in a row at FedEx!

Good Luck this week as well.
