Royster Nicked Up?
With Royster joining the list of injured running backs I guess we get another good look at Morris Saturday. Hightower is certainly not ready for a heavy work load, nor is Helu. That's all pretty discouraging to me. Maybe CP should hold off on that announcement!

#Redskins top 3 RBs are all dinged, but Hightower returns for preseason debut vs. Colts. Helu, Royster out. Royster has sore knee
Morris is on this roster. These guys can't stay healthy.

When you have an OL like the one we do, expect a bunch more injuries this year. RBs need an OL to stay healthy -- and the fact our YOUNG RBs are getting hurt in preseason (Helu, Royster) combined with our already injury plagued RB (Hightower) -- makes it appear even worse.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

SOB.
Sore is no big deal, jus precaution. Surprised to see HT ready to go.
If Helu can't get good in a hurry, i see him hittin the ir for at least the 6 weeks then go from there. Royster, HT, Morris is probably the line up for week one.. I see morris and Royster switching off unless one stays hot, HT of course the third down back.
Could be worse, love how Shanny finds gems in the rough and they wind up producing.

This has been in the news the past few days or he could have been talking about the PUP list. There actually was talk of having an IR rule change where if there was a major injury to a certain player the team would be granted a temporary roster spot to replace the injured player until the player returned later in the year. So if Helu was put on it then we could pick up say Ryan Grant to replace him till Helu was healthy enough to place. The NFLPA ended up not approving this rule change however.gregory smith wrote:There is no 6 week IR. IR is done for the year.

PUP list is not an option for active players
While putting together their 53-man rosters, a lot of Redskins fans want to put Roy Helu Jr. or Tim Hightower or another player on the PUP list. This lets them keep Alfred Morris or their other favorite prospect on the 53 while stashing the veteran player for later in the season.
But there is one problem with this plan. You can’t put a player on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list at this point in the season.
There is one opportunity to put a player on PUP and that is at the start of training camp. If an injury keeps a player from practicing he can be put on PUP. Once a player steps onto the practice field he can’t be placed on the PUP list.
So the only Redskins player who can begin the season on the PUP list is the one who already is there, Jammal Brown

I realize that it's to late to PUP somebody I just thought maybe Cowboykillerz was referring to the possible IR rule change that I posted about because it's been all over NFL Network and ESPN the past few days that the NFLPA had approved the rule change but then like it says in the link it was fraudulent. The possible IR change was so if there was a bad injury keeping somebody out even till December you could pick up a FA instead of leaving the injured player on the roster taking up space or putting him on the IR and shutting him down for the year. When he would come back somebody would be cut for his spot. LIke I said though the NFLPA ended up not voting this in I just thought maybe cowboykillerz was talking about this instead since there's been a lot of talk about it lately. Hail!!!!

Might want to quote your source there, gregory, or someone might think you wrote that.gregory smith wrote:PUP list is not an option for active players

So Hightower will play on sat? Either way, i guess i will see a healthy dose of morris and davis.....maybe davis can make things really interesting by having a good game as i have not been that impressed with him thus far. Think morris can really solidify his place on the team with a good outing, including picking up his blocking assignments better. I will admit i do not pay a lot of attention to blocks unless the defender is either leveled, or is whiffed on and makes a big play as a result. But can count posters here to inform me as to what really happened on various plays. I swear i think some of u guys have a film room at ur home.....

He averages just over 5 ypc.... in ArizonaThe Hogster wrote:William Powell for the Cardinals looked very good last night against the Titans. He's likely to be cut. If one of our guys goes down, he would be worth a look.

But when he leaves Arizona he averages almost twice that

Maybe he doesn't like the area

I think we they should make a trade for him... you know just in case,
They need a veteran QB and the Skins have "one", they can throw in Bartel since he knows the area
