why do redskin fans always say this? as if Brett Conway kicking a 52 yard field goal with the game on the line, on the road, was an afterthought to all of this....

Wow I don't remember it being that long at all. But I can admit when I'm wrong. Still doesn't take away from my basic point though
Deadskins wrote:Well, we remember it a little differently, but I'm about 10 years older than you are, so if you want to believe Norv was turning it around, then be my guest. Personally, I don't think Norval will ever be a winner as a HC. Firing Norv was not one of the many, many bad decisions The Danny has made since he bought the team, imo. Firing Marty on the other hand...
Seconded. I don't think Norv will ever win the big one, not with all the talent in the world on his squad, which is basically what he had for many years in SD. Also agree that firing Marty was a giant mistake for the Dan, one that set us back years in our return to glory.
I think we all agree that Norv isn't a good head coach and will never win the big one. We have consensus on this point I think.
Marty was a great regular season coach but if we're talking aboout winning the big one he's in the same bucket. He had the same talent in SD as Norv. Much better coach obviously.
I guess everyone who thinks Marty shouldn't have been fired also believe he should have been the GM and HC, right? Too much responsibility for any one individual, IMO.

You may be able to admit when your wrong, but not to a troll. She doesn't know the first thing about the Skins, so most likely she was the one who was wrong. Anyway, we try not to feed the trolls around here, it just brings them back for more.

I was not a marty fan but did think he had the team on a roll at the end of the year, and should not have been fired. Heck, you have to get to the playoffs to win the SB...Norv has issues doing that with the loaded teams he has had, and in a weak division. Marty has above a .600 winning percent while Norv is below .500 (reg season). Honestly i do not know how how he still has a hc job. I certainly preferred marty over the next coach snyder hired.
And, no, i have never liked the coach who is also the gm concept.
