Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

he was doing fine before he got hurt and was on pace for some good numbers.

he's young and fast still and we've added weapons around him, how could this be a bad move?

plus he's a Washingtonian, that means alot to me.. shoooooooooot

We will see how he does following the injury, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a good comeback.

At those rates, he was on pace for 125 yds receiving and over 1000 yards rushing for the season. Nothing great, but not bad either, especially if sharing the load on a pass heavy offensive scheme that Kyle likes to use.

He has all the intangibles you want in a veteran. Good value for the Redskins in keeping him. Adds to team stability as well, which is undervalued in the NFL too often.

There is going to be competition for every spot - 'cept QB :D

Hightower will either earn a spot or push others - no big deal - insurance is good too
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I kinda feel the same way. Reading those quotes yesterday from Hightower saying that he might not be back for training camp but will be ready for the season isn't giving me a lot of hope.

With RGIII, we'll need a good blocking RB, so the Hightower signing isn't a horrible pickup. He wasn't stellar last year, so I am not 100% sure he will make the final roster.

I was a fan when we traded for him, but personally I would rather have Helu and Royster over him after seeing him last year -- although part of this may have been a result of the OL.

That said, an ACL injury is very difficult to come back from the next year, so we'll have to see what happens. Personally, I don't see him being a huge contributor to running game next season. I see Helu getting the majority of carries, followed by Royster. Oddly enough, Hightower could be useful on passing downs.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

I thought Hightower was decent. He looked really good in the preseason last year and he was solid with Arizona. Obviously it's going to be a committee approach, but the coaches like him
