If you could have .......

Post by skin_to_the_bone »

If there was a way you could have any person in the league on the skins who would it be and why?

My choice is Urlacher for Defense. He is a younger version of Ray Lewis. He is a leader and a complete animal on the field. He also can play 8 different positions at a pro bowl level. As for Offense, My choice would be Farve ( even at his ripe age now). This is a tough choice because Vick is in the league now. The man show's up for everygame. You can't count him out EVER. He is the Cal Ripken of Football. He is a proven winner. He's had so many different teams assembled around him and still manages a good record every year, and if that doesn't do it for you....his numbers should do the talking.

Honorable Mentions would be Champ Bailey, Peyton Manning,Ray Lewis, Vick, Moss, and Strahan.

Defense- Roy Williams, No team in the league would pass even once against the Redskins. A Taylor- Williams safety tandem would frequently injure opposing WR's.

Offense- Peyton Manning, While Mike Vick is a great player in his own respect, Peyton Manning would be a better choice for OUR CURRENT team because of all our great Wideouts and talented O-Line. Vick's forte is mobility and Peytons is passing.

Sonny Jurgenson. :D

I know, you meant players currently playing[i] in the league, but, oh, to have a 35-year-old, pot-bellied Sonny throwing for the burgundy&gold!

I think that were ok at most of the positions. I would like to see a big def. end. I dont know many guys but i like Julius Peppers from Carolina. Watch a guy named Mario Williams from NC State. He's just a sophmore but he's awsome. he started last year and he was i think 2nd on the team in sacks and 3rd in tackle from the d-end positions.

If I could have any player in the NFL on the Redskins it would be Randy Moss, he would just make our offense unstoppable. Portis running the ball, then Coles and Moss as the top two receivers, and you cant double both in a 3 WR set and with Portis in the backfield.

Ray Lewis.

Not even a hiccup in that question for me.

And if i could have any second player... I'd take whoever Ray Ray told me to.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I would go for Kris Jenkins on D - a young dominant DT would improve the entire defence.

On offence, I would go for OT Jonathan Odgen. With Samuels average performance the past couple of years and his salary cap number, Ogden becomes the ultimate replacement to what is already a strong offence.

The team needs to be able to generate a pass rush

Possibly Jason Taylor or Simeon Rice

I'm trying to think of some great pass rushing defensive ends. Maybe Andre Carter from the 49ers.

The only reason I took Farve over Vick for offense is that he is such a great teacher. Vick is the type of qb that doesn't fit in most systems BUT any coach in their right mind would change there playbook to get ahold of him. Farve would be the perfect compliment to Ramsey not saying Brunell isn't, but that's just my opinion that Brett would be a great fit in DC.

Seems like a lot of us wouldn't pass up Ray Lewis if we were "GM for a day". The guy is all about energy and control of the game. Urlacher was my choice over him because he is slightly younger and more rounded. BUT thats a hell of a toss up there. Either one would be an instant upgrade in Defense, and I would never turn down Lewis coming here for the same reasons as Farve ( he's a teacher and rubs off on the ENTIRE team )

On offense, I have to with Peyton Manning. The guy is the epitome of what a passer has to be. Also, stop making the excuse he isn't mobile. He can scramble. It isn't pretty, but it is more effective than most of the QBs in the leage.

On defense I would like my man Dwight Freeney. Most disruptive player in the league on defense. He makes sacks, he forces many fumbles, recovers fumbles, and is fast enough to chase down RBs if he gets into the backfield. He also takes up some double teams if they catch him.

Oh yeah, just for clarification, I'm not a Colts fan, but they have lots of people I want.

OJ Simpson.
Is there anybody better on the short cut-and-run ? :(
No, seriously. Until a couple of days ago, Ricky Williams. Joe could always find something for a big bruiser to do. :)
