This guy has "Redskin" written all over him. At this point, I'd rather have him than the players we'd draft with the picks we use to move up.

Building a nice garage (support cast) is great, but eventually you need to go out and get the Ferrari to park in it.

A Ferrari would be nice, better than the bicycle we had last year...

SouthLondonRedskin wrote:I saw a piece talking about how highly the Colts rate him and how much he took to Indianapolis. It suggested it was 50-50 who the Colts went for. Could they actually take him instead of Luck....????

If they did and we traded up to #2 then we'd have Luck rather than RGIII.

How do we all feel about that....?

I guess it doesn't matter who it is if they are as good as that, but I think RGIII would be a more exciting watch at QB for us.

I've been saying that this could be the case ... and I tell you, both guys are quite impressive, and for a team that needs a QB as badly as we do, either one would be a home run, and probably a grand slam.

Personally I think Luck edges out RG3, so he'd be a surprise bonus, but RG3 is far from being a consolation prize.

Just make the deal, get the #2 pick, and wait till the wheel of fortune stops spinning. There's only two places for the thing to land on ... Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Bicycle? Do you mean the radio flyer wagon?

No more R.G.III Int. RGIII all the way (or luck if Indy is that crazy. I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY SKIP LUCK.)
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I prefer Lamborghini's. So, if RG3 is a Lambo, RG3Ints is a Segway.

My position is very simple:

I would take ANY of the two top QBs AS LONG AS the Skins move up to THIRD or FOURTH pick.

I would not trade the house of picks this and next year for a SECOND pick from the Rams.

Do I feel we can get one of them at the 3rd or 4th pick??? YES. :D

Do I feel that either QB will be available at the 6th pick??? DEFINITELY NOT.

Now you're talking!!!

The guy in the wheelchair also has McFlabb's waistline to go with Rex's mobility, so a nice cross between the two there.

sooooooo .. it's a given that we'd rather not trade up to #2

it's also fairly certain that RGIII will not be available at the #6 spot ....

IF this FO really wants one of the top 2 QBs, don't we have to go to #2
at this time it looks like it will cost a lot to get there

the next few weeks are going to be very revealing
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

No doubt man. I am dying to know how this all plays out!

Anybody listen to Grant Paulsen on the junkies this AM? He was suggesting that the Redskins might like Tannehill enough to take him, even if it means they have to take him at #6. Strong arm, mobile QB is what Shanahan likes.

The problem is, if you trade up to the 3rd or 4th pick, and Luck and RG3 goes #1, #2 ... you're sitting with egg on your face, and no QB, just to save 1 draft pick.

That would be a disaster, and the good money says that's what is going to happen .... Luck,1 .. RG3, 2.

Cunningham, McNair, McNabb, Vick, Vince Young, Cam Newton.

What do all these men have in common? Not winning a SuperBowl.

Sorry. I would love to RG3 right now too, but I am not as big on him as most here and the press. Until I see the "running QB" actually win more than just regular season games, I care most about his arm (strength and accuracy) and his head (football IQ).

I really hope we don't give up much, like it or not we still have many holes.

Browns reportedly are going to really pursue Flynn.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/23/report-browns-expected-to-make-a-play-for-matt-flynn/

This vibes well with the reports that I've been mentioning all off-season, that the Browns GM wants to bring in a "vet" to compete with Colt. This will be good news for us if it pans out. It may make the asking price drop a bit to move up.

good point Chris - altho ..... this just means we don't have to compete against those 2 1st round picks the Browns have

The Rams are going to still try and get the most they can for that #2 pick

I just have a lot more faith in Mike & Bruce making the best deal for this franchise than some here

but again - the Browns getting Flynn would seem to indicate they are not trying to get RGIII

The interesting part for us is which FA QB are we bringing in

Keep in mind that Fisher and Mike have a great relationship. While the Rams will want a fair deal, I think they'd be more inclined to deal with Mike and to ask for something reasonable. Even if another team offers a bit more, Fisher may still deal with Mike. We all know that networking often nets you more than anything else in life...

I was psyched when I read that headline this morning too. But the end of the story points out that it might be unlikely for them to land Flynn.

Either way, Chris' point that the Browns might be looking more for a vet than to draft a QB is potential good news for us.

I wish I had a link to the story I'm basing that off of, but hopefully it pans out to be true.
