Hightower's Super Bowl prediction

The Washington Redskins love making bold statements, so let's gather for another round of blog posts wondering a member of the team is crazy. This time, the bold statement comes from running back Tim Hightower, who essentially told CSN Washington that the Redskins would be in the Super Bowl.
"The fun will be in February when you guys are interviewing us up in Indy. That’ll be fun," Hightower said, before adding that he's "gonna stand by" his "very bold prediction."

im not mad at hightower for saying this...confidence is not a terrible "off field" item to be dealing with this time of year......but.....we werent too bad off this time last year. big win over philly hope for donny and even albert!.....

nothing new here! ALL coaches & players think they're winning each & every game ... OR have a chance to

EVERYONE finds different avenues and ways to express themselves - some choose not to

that said - we are 3-1, I'm almost giddy at the REAL chance of going 10-1 in the next 7

REALITY = we are getting better - we just need 1 more draft & offseason to begin years of consistency here

Yea I was thinking the same thing when I read the title of the thread. I had to brace myself but I guess those folks aren't even going to bother. Imagine that, they were more upset wit Rexy saying we'll win the NFC East but not this.

Well, hopefully that is the case once again.

As far as the comment, I would rather have heard Hightower make the "bold" prediction that he will end the season with a yards-per-carry average over 4.0.

It was only a couple years ago that the players were just satisfied with being on the field. Now they are predicting the SuperBowl. Much better to have the players with the win the Super Bowl attitude.

Damned straight.
Don't want to hear any talk about how great it will be to watch the playoffs on his new TV. Sounded a bit more like a jab at reporters than a bold prediction to me. Hardly impossible, but I'm not buying SB tickets or booking travel. I think with the defense hot, we can win any given game. 9 wins is my stated goal, constituting a two year trend of 50% increase in win total over previous season. That projects into 14 wins next year. My bold prediction is next year 10-6 regular season, 4-0 post, 14 wins.

I will take it sooner.
